The Malvern Hills Hotel

I live in Malvern so am well aware of hotel offerings. My girlfriend lives out of town and I wanted to treat her to a cody dinner b and b and this hotel seemed to fit the bill. The pub and restaurant are nice enough but lacked the cosiness an open fire would bring. It appeared we were the only guests for dinner which is never good. There was a reasonably wide range of food on offer but limited starters. I chose beef brisket in a bourgignon sauce..Although the beef was tender it was very dry and clearly had not been cooked in its accompanying sauce. Very disappointing. I wanted a special room so booked a junior suite which had a nice view and had both shower and bath but no wow factor. On coming to have a shower in the morning the tap to operate the shower was completely broken off and was lying there in the soap dish. Very poor attention to detail so we could not take a shower. It appeared that just two rooms had been occupied that night so the hotel was hardly busy. Why oh why do hotels like this continue to use those cheap shsmpoo and shower gels. 1 tiny bottle of each between 2 adults. Penny pinching. Overall a very average stay which could have been so much better.

We stayed for 2 nights including NYE and had a great time. The food was very good and each member of staff treated us as if we were their favourite guest. I have experienced very competent staff elsewhere but not the warmth and helpfulness. The Malvern Hills offer brilliant views over the vales either side.

Very poor service with no excuse. We had our meals outside but after serving the meal there was no further contact from any member of staff at all, this is not acceptable. We all wanted further drinks and a desert but no interest shown at all. We were the only diners left outside but even though a young lady cleared a table nearby she never ever once even looked in our direction. It was if we were not there. At the end of the meal I went inside to see if they were busy, they were not and the manager, who had taken our order, was idly talking to a member of staff. One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever come across.

Came here for a drink after a walk on the hill. My toddler requesting ice cream and they were so quick. They brought my son some colouring too and considering how busy they were I can't believe how friends and accommodating. Thank you so much Dawn and Joe!!

We stayed as part of a group booking but wanted to stay an extra night. Susan was brilliant at rearranging the details of the booking and merging our additional night to ensure we didn't need to change rooms. John was fantastic after we arrived late at night, finding us some hypoallergenic pillows after housekeeping had gone home. Also couldn't recommend the food enough, had a great evening meal here with friends. Will definitely be back.

Terrible service and food. Invited to a Thursday steak night to find a chef that couldn’t amusingly cook steak rare. After two attempts of recooked steaks, I left without eating. The first overcooked and the second raw/blue. Sides failed to be delivered and what did arrive was terrible. Others at the table also had similar issues sending food back. The service team were great dealing with the kitchen shambles however the same can’t be said about management who conveniently disappeared as food started to be sent back and wouldn’t come down from the office to rectify things. Shocking!
