We have just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at Forest Park Hotel. From the moment we checked in to when we left my husband and I were SO impressed. We have stayed in a few places in the New Forest but this is the only hotel we have said we would go back to (despite all of our other stays being really lovely as well!). Location - we found the location of the hotel to be perfect. It was really nice being able to walk into brockenhurst high st within 10/15 mins and to be within the forest itself surrounded by lovely views Food - we didn’t eat dinner at the hotel however we really enjoyed the breakfast provided. Food was of a really high quality, came out quickly and was delicious. We definitely looked forward to breakfast everyday! Staff - our highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone we came across and spoke to was so lovely and couldn’t do more for you! A big thank you to Andrei who helped my husband organise flowers for our anniversary and thank you to the staff members that snuck them into our room whilst we were at breakfast! As it was our anniversary we checked in to find lovely rose petals on our bed and a card which was a really lovely touch. Room - I believe we stayed in a superior king room which had a lovely view out to the gardens. The bed was so big and cosy and we found the amenities in the room to be great! A good selection of teas, coffees, chocolates and biscuits and I was so pleased to see they had dyson hairdryers in the room! Our only ‘complaint’ would be the water pressure of the shower, it would be great if it was a bit more powerful but it really wasn’t an issue. Toiletries provided were also really nice. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this hotel and found it to be exceptional value for money. We are so excited to return. Thank you to all of the staff who made our stay so amazing!

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay in this charming hotel, celebrating my birthday and our anniversary. Everything was perfect, our car parking space and room were ready early, and we were offered coffee and cake on arrival, which was much appreciated. We stayed in Rufus Stone, a cosy room for 2; it was clean and extremely comfortable, and being situated around the back was also quiet and private. To mark the occasion, tasteful birthday bunting was hanging up, a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts, there was plenty of choice and the service was efficient and very friendly. We also made use of the honesty bar, another special touch. The Cottage Lodge Hotel is perfectly situated, there are shops/ cafes/ other eateries on the doorstep / just around the corner and 3 pubs within a 5 minute walk. We had good meals at The Snakecatcher and Albero Italian restaurant. Cycle hire can be found by the train station a 10 minute walk away and is thoroughly recommended. Access to the forest on foot or bike is also on the doorstep, just behind the back of the school which is nearby to the hotel. Thank you to Maurizio and his super staff for a memorable stay.
