The perfect getaway in any season The Hickory House is just 7 minutes from Tenney Mountain and 25 minutes to Ragged Mountain for Ski Lovers. Deeded beach rights for the summer months. Nature abounds in this area. Enjoy hiking, fishing (ice fishing), kayaking, paddleboarding and more. This home has deeded beach rights, just a five min walk down the road. One of our favorite things to do is walk down to the beach and watch the sunset. Other area attractions include Polar Caves Park, Wellington State Park and the Sculptured Rocks.The spaceTake time for yourself or your family and relax at The Hickory House, just up the road from NewFound Lake ( 5 min walk with deeded beach rights). This gorgeous house has been tastefully renovated and named for its beautiful Hickory Floors. While the home appears large, it is quite cozy inside. The main floor boasts two bedrooms ( 1 king bed and 1 queen bed ) , one bath and an open kitchen/dining/living space. There is a small screened in porch off the living room and a gorgeous wrap around deck ( with table/umbrella for 8, available during the summer/fall season) and a grill. There are two fireplaces available for use, one on the main floor and one on the lower level. The lower level is a second lounge area with T.V. that has the feel of an old English pub, only without the pub part. It is a great hangout with foosball table. Upstairs you will find the third bedroom with 2 bunk twin beds and one single twin bed. There is also a catwalk with additional seating to enjoy coffee while taking in the beautiful mountain view.Nature abounds on this peaceful property. The home offers an open floor plan with a full kitchen, living room, dining room, full bath and laundry room on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor (Bedroom 1 and 2 offer queen beds and bedroom 3 offers two twin beds). It is only a short walk to Shackett's Store for early morning homemade donuts or ice cream after dinner! Enjoy amazing views or catch some sun on the two-level deck only 50 feet from the water's edge. We provide a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave.Should I bring linens or towels?• Nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillowcases. There is a fire pit available for use.• Guests will not have access to the garage. But there is a covered carport for a boat or toy hauler.• Quiet hours in this location start at 10 p.m. and are strictly enforced. Please note that any violation of this rule will be reported to the authorities by local residents. Violations will result in loss of security deposit.• There isn’t direct access to the lake at this location. The closest access is the public beach which is a couple min walk.• The third floor does require guests to climb steep stairs. Please see the house layout to ensure it will be suitable for your getaway.• There is a window a/c unit for the third floor bedroom. There isn’t air conditioning in any other space in the house (however, there are fans throughout). • For winter skiers and snowmobilers, we have a covered carport for your toys and we are located a short drive to some of NH’s best skiing!
