OYO Ruby Pub & Hotel

If you want a good nights sleep, find somewhere else. The bathroom was nice but the shower was filthy! See pictures attached. The bed was uncomfortable, just had a bog standard home made wooden base and the bedding didn’t even match and the Pillows were lumpy. The pub had what seemed to be a lock in with loud music playing until the early hours. The pub was dark and dirty with wires hanging around, the DJ was awful. We were checked in by a bouncer…says it all really. We were woken up at 6am by next doors alarm clock. Went on until 6:15. We then could hear them snoring and sneezing. There is mould on the wall by the window and paint peeling off on same wall. The rest of the walls are scratched and scuffed. We paid £70 for our room and thought it wasn’t worth more than £30 There is a kettle with tea, coffee and milk available in the room along with a hairdryer. The hand wash in the shower room is filled with washing up liquid, but there is plenty of toilet roll. We won’t be returning and feel that the whole place needs a complete makeover, it has a lot of potential but maybe in the hands of someone who half cares about their guests We were in room 3.

It was okay for what we needed but not worth the £110 charge. The room was very small, just enough space to walk around the bed. Paint work was patchy and most of it was quite shabby. Reception was a little desk with a sign on and free water (that was good but it wasn’t chilled). The bathroom was modern but only one of us got a hot shower. It was cold quickly. It didn’t look like a hotel. More a converted building with tiny rooms. Not close to anything useful and was £15 in a taxi to the seafront but we didn’t book for that so it was okay. Would value it more worth around £60 a night

Great locals, great bar staff! Excellent over night trip for work, originally booked for 1 night but enjoyed it so much stayed a second! Locals lovely and friendly, staff are helpful and welcoming. Rooms are basic but ideal For an overnight work trip or for the football near by, there is NO parking, its a side road of if you’re lucky you may get in the tiny courtyard at the side of the hotel. Local shop next door and a takeaway for the nights they dont do food. Will stay again 100%

Very noisy, lots of flys in room , room not cleaned properly the bin was full. And very expensive

Impossible to get a refund for unsuitable room Unhelpful, passing the buck to customer services, who are unhelpful and very rude.
