Innside Bremen

It was quite warm, the outside door couldn’t open completely (defect) so the heat stayed inside (no airco). Employees are very friendly. Breakfast buffet was okay, it was croudy and not everything that should be warm wasn’t warm.

Very convenient location - next to shopping centre with frequent Straßenbahns into the centre of town. Parking was above ground which meant no issues with not fitting our large vehicle. Perfect for our couple of nights in Bremen.

Clean hotel, large rooms not close to the town center but easy to access to public transportation (tram). City center is 20 min by tram. Good breakfast

Again in this hotel for an open air concert at the „Seebühne“ nearby: perfect location! We leave our car at their big parking lot in front of the hotel (€5.00 per day; you can park outside this lot for free at the mall). A friendly and fast check-in on a friday afternoon brings us to our room with river view in the third floor. The doubleroom with two single beds is nice and clean, but without an a/c. The bathroom comes with a bathtub, which can be heavy to enter for older people, and a vent. A big plus is their free (!) minibar in the room: a new small fridge with sodas and water and enough space for your own drinks to cool down. We don’t use their restaurant for breakfast (€15.00) or lunch/dinner (a la carte) this time. On Friday evening we made a short stop at their bar in the lobby: very nice two female bartenders served quickly our drinks. On Saturday evening - after the concert - there was no chance to get a seat … sorry for too less capacity of guests: perhaps someone can open another space for such events?! Overall we‘ll come back to this hotel, where every guest gets a warm welcome and a nice room (take the river view - it’s worth the extra money).

Hotel was far and it was in a bad area nothing around it. No A/C without notice

Location is important to me. Normally I book city hotels. This one is about 5km north of the city, but I didn't need to worry. It is a short walk to the tram system and made travel easy. Tram service 3 gets you to the old town. If you do arrive in a car, there is a large car park up front. Close to the hotel is a shopping centre. There is also a cinema in the shopping centre. The rear of the hotel has a good waterfront view from the restaurant and outside decking where you can sit when the weather is good. The rooms are large by European standards, clean and feel both fresh and new. Wifi is good for devices. There was a free mini bar with a selection of cold non-alcoholic drinks. There is a bar in the lobby. The breakfast is comprehensive, and you can pick a variety of options. Most days we were able to eat lunch quite late due to never feeling hungry while out and about. Lufthansa lost our luggage. Even with the correct hotel name on the luggage they managed to deliver it to a totally different hotel. Our hotel was incredibly helpful in finding it and looking after our luggage. They were brilliant.

Negative =Paid parking at hotel, if you walk 50 meters its free parking. Found that very strange and not customer friendly. Hotel is very nice.

WARNING!!!! Hired the service of this hotel that belongs to the Melia chain (Innside by Bremen) through and as an intermediary El Corte Ingles in Zaragoza (SPAIN) from 6/6/2023 to 10/6/2023 I receive a normal attention at the time of registration, but when I go up to the room I find that the bed you have to make it yourself , The shower shows signs of poor hygiene, as is logical I make the bed I clean the shower and something else in the bathroom of dubious cleanliness, I put my belongings on a shelf that makes closet and go to the hotel restaurant for dinner, dinner was normal, neither too much nor too little and neither good nor bad. The next day I go down to breakfast, the offer is scarce but it can be admitted, I leave the hotel and on my return I find that my suitcase has been tampered with (not opened because it has a safety lock) which makes no sense since it is at a height that to clean the shelf and have to move it they need a ladder and they do not use it to clean rooms which they did not do either, they only change the bed linen every two days, the parking is outdoors on the street with a very poor or no surveillance, there are very obvious signs of theft in vehicles (it is full of broken glass of the windows of vehicles that have been assaulted or stolen) for this service for 3 days they charge me 20 €. The restaurant closes at 21:00, at 20.00 we ask for dinner and they tell me that they have nothing and do not give us dinner, we take our car and we have to go to the center of Bremen to eat something (30 minutes between arrival and parking). Arrives the day of departure from the hotel and at the time of payment they tell me that they are going to charge me 100€ more for having smoked in the room and that they have had to hire an external company for cleaning, which is clearly not true, because I have not smoked inside the room, The question is that they do not clean what you hire and charge for what you do not stain, professional ethics in any place is to warn the user visually (signs indicating prohibition) or verbally in this case of the ban on smoking, They take advantage of the fact that you have little time to catch the flights and so you do not have time to formulate the due complaints, and in my case also the lack of knowledge of other languages since I only know Spanish, as a curious note they have a vending machine for tobacco, on the terrace of the bar you smoke and nobody tells you anything and at the entrance of the hotel they have an ashtray. Here I leave you my bad experience with the Hotel Innside by Melia Bremen hired through El Corte Ingles in Zaragoza. THINK TWICE BEFORE HIRING THE SERVICE OF THIS PLACE.
