The Townhouse Hotel

Visited for a meal with friends. Excellent food and first class service. Huge portions and smaller portions available for all main dishes. The girls couldn’t have done more for us. For anyone with mobility problems, this is 100% accessible too which is fab. Highly recommend and will definitely return soon.

I was visiting Arbroath for an appointment and stopped by for a quick bite to eat and to do some emails. Unfortunately the WiFi at the hotel isn’t the best, I wasn’t able to do any work. I did however enjoy the food and the service from Judith was very friendly and professional. Soup and a roll combo with salad and crisps and a drink for a tenner! Bargain!

Arrived for a weekend stay was not disappointed met with a lovely warm welcome from staff. Room was spotless and had everything that was required when asked for an iron one was brought to the room right away by the housekeeper who was also very friendly. A set breakfast for £6 was amazing value also had evening meals both nights we stayed food lovely and again staff wonderful . Highly recommend could not fault it. Certainly would return. Just a special thanks to Susan and the team .

Myself and husband have returned home after a wonderful stay at this fabulous hotel. The staff really do make it, they are all absolutely fantastic and I would go as far to say it's been the best customer service I have ever experienced! The staff are all wonderful and have permanent smiles on their faces, only too happy to assist and offer the warmest welcome and service. We are twice in the restaurant during our 3 day stay. Evening meal, we opted for the set menu which was very reasonable and the food was lovely. Piping hot and cooked fresh. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the scampi - highly recommended. We had the sticky toffee pudding for desert and it was absolutely delicious and I was quite pleasantly surprised and the portion size! Breakfast was great too. Lovely coffee!! Thank you to the staff for providing earplugs too in the rooms. I thought this may have been for the pub noisemusic but I couldn't hear a thing from our room and you would have never known we were above the restaurant/pub. The seagull noise during the wee hours must have been the reason they provide the earplugs .. they were needed and appreciated! I would highly, highly recommend this hotel and thank you, thank you to the staff again for our wonderful stay!

It's difficult to grasp how the owners of this hotel have managed to get so many staff on board with regard to customer service. I have stayed/visited on a number of occasions & one member of staff is as lovely as the next, I've had a few fabulous meals & some nice, never awful.....so I think it depends on the chef on the day/night. 24 July, 2pm, we had the most fantastic meal. Rooms are reasonably priced, very clean, comfortable, not state of art, wee bit small but I paid iro £82 for a double as opposed to £168 at the nearest Premier Inn so fair dues. All in all, great value hotel!

A great location! The staff were all friendly and nothing at all was too much trouble! The room was clean and perfectly serviceable for a weekend stay! The bed frame was a little hard as you bump your leg as you pass, it was solid wood but soar! The toilet and shower all great a little smell came from the cooking in the restaurant just need to keep the bathroom door closed! Breakfast was good and again staff really good! No issues and would definitely stay again!
