I recently had to cancel my reservation at The Fairhaven Hotel
due to an unexpected illness, and unfortunately, my experience with their customer service has left much to be desired.
Despite reaching out promptly to explain my situation and request a refund, I was met with a firm refusal. The hotel’s cancellation policy was not flexible enough to accommodate my circumstances, which was quite disappointing. I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but a little compassion in times of need would have gone a long way.
The hotel itself may have great amenities and a lovely atmosphere, but my experience with their handling of cancellations has overshadowed any positive aspects. I would advise potential guests to carefully consider the cancellation policy before booking, especially if there’s a chance that plans may change unexpectedly.
Overall, while I cannot speak to the quality of the stay, my interaction with the hotel regarding my cancellation has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I hope they can improve their customer service approach in the future.
