Tintswalo Waterberg

We had an amazing stay at Tintswalo Waterberg for three nights during New Year's 2024-2025.. We were welcomed by singing by the team and a welcome drink. Our two-room suite was really nice and the fridge was filled with complimentary drinks, and snacks were also available. Our sons had their own room and got some special drinks and treats for teens. We had game drives twice a day, at 5:30 and 16 and between these we had time to relax, rest or hang out by the pool. A water bottle was always provided in the truck, and refilled to the next drive. Clive was our guide during our stay - he was amazing, always helpful and informing us on what we saw in the bush. Special memories are the morning coffees with Amarula and sundowners on the open plains with all the animals around you. He also went the extra mile to make sure we got to see the animals we had left on our checklist... Ha also drove us back and forth to the main gate of the reserve, this was two extra game drives! We managed to spot all of the Big 5, and also the cheetah, apart from all of the other amazing animals in the reserve - giraffes, zebras, kudus, elands, rock dassies , hippos, impalas, warthogs, wildebeests etc. The breakfasts after the morning game drives were really nice, and you had the option of ordering your "hot order" with eggs, bacon of your choice. Food overall was really good and well made. The last night on New Year's Eve we had a braai/boma dinner outside under the stars! Tebogo is a large part of the vibe at Tintswalo, with her laughter and smile, and she and her team made us feel right at home creating that feeling of family and togetherness! All of the staff was so friendly! We really recommend this place - 5 stars!

The rooms were beautiful and very clean and tidy. Mike our game driver was incredible. He was funny and very knowledgeable and shared some fascinating facts about the animals. The disappointing part of our stay was the terrible food. The servings was very small and the choice of meat very disappointing. Chicken wings and bierewors. Snacks were popcorn and rusks and they had a huge selection of board games, but all the games had missing pieces. South Africs is known for incredible tasty food. If you are there only for the game viewing, you are at thd right place. I advice you stock up on yummy snacks before going.

We had three wonderful days there and everything was amazing. Our ranger Clive was great and the staff was so lovely. I can only say the best. The food was great as well.

Had a fantastic stay. All the staff were so friendly and the game drives were brilliant. Managed to spot most of the Big 5 and Magnificent 7, Klive was very knowledgeable. The lodge and rooms were beautiful and food was excellent. Will definitely be returning.

An amazing lodge with excellent safari drives, food amenities and service. Clive our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and truthful with is answers. Philipine our cook was a wizard with her culinary skills and presentation. Melidah our front of house butler was very attentive and always smiling, as was our host Jeantelle. A great place to stay for couples and families of all ages.

Truly one of the best things our family has ever done and this site company has to be the one to visit especially if you are thinking of Doing a safari in South Africa
