Ibis Budget Chateaudun

Automated checking machines are a good idea but not if they do not work to accept your reservation or to try and book rooms for the same evening. Situated in a very hot and sunny lobby further added to a poor first impression and one had to wait until reception was open again at 5pm to resolve the issues only to be told the automated checkin booth often does not work! Breakfast the next morning was utter chaos with insufficient glasses and crockery; the saving grace was the food and drink was good when one could enjoy it! More like a camping experience using 3 espresso cups for a white coffee was interesting and good job one was not in a hurry.

We are a motorcycle group from UK. We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions during our trip. After arriving tired after a long days ride Cindy (receptionist) made us very welcome making the whole check-in process easy and trouble free. Even managing to navigate our poor French with ease. Rooms were as expected (clean & tidy) and breakfast was more than adequate for our needs. Excellent all round service. Well done.

This is a very basic hotel, the rooms are small, with little amenities, ie no wardrobe or storage for clothes.. the double bed has a bunk bed above it which I bangled my head on. The room has no air con, The window in our room was above the entrance door where people congregated to smoke and chatter ..the smoke drifted into our room. The bathroom was ok, but the shower was small.. Towels were ok and changed daily. The hotel has a very dated and used feel about it, there was a musty smoky smell in the public areas.. Staff were helpful and friendly. This hotel is ok if you just want to put your head down and move on the next morning, but not for longer.. we had three nights booked and paid for and wished we could have left after the first night. Wont ever use an Ibis budget hotel again .

A basic hotel but OK for a simple overnight stay. Surprisingly quiet location next to the N10. The Buffalo Grill next door was fine for an uncomplicated evening meal. The bed was quite firm but we slept quite well.

Un bon point : l'emplacement, à proximité de restaurants de chaînes. A part ça, pour le même prix que n'importe quel Ibis budget, vous avez droit à : - un hôtel fermé jusqu'à 17 h. Contrairement à ce qui est précisé sur le site de réservation, impossible d'y accéder avant 17 h. Et ensuite il faut faire la queue car cela ne va pas bien vite. - un accueil fermé, par un réceptionniste uniquement occupé sur son ordinateur à vous facturer de suite la nuit sur votre carte bancaire, sans même vous en informer. Aucune indication ni sur l'emplacement de la chambre, ni sur le petit déjeuner. - cerise sur le gâteau : il ne nous a pas informés d'une réduction de 10 % dans les restaurants proches. Merci pour cette absence totale de sens client. - une chambre non climatisée, totalement au standard des Ibis budget d'il y a 30 ans - un petit déjeuner minimaliste, même comparé à d'autres ibis budget. Et surtout ne demander rien, il n'y en a plus Ah si, pour vous amuser, comptez le nombre d'affiches d'interdictions diverses et de menaces d'amendes si jamais vous enfreignez les règles (ce qui, soit dit en passant, est parfaitement illégal). Bref, moi qui suis un habitué des hôtel Accord de toutes catégories, la prochaine fois j'irai dans un autre hôtel !
