The Editory Artist Baixa Porto Hotel

Lovely Hotel in a quiet location but close to the city centre. The staff were wonderful complimentary port on arrival. The receptionist was extremely helpful showing us where to go what to see. Got back to hotel first evening and was surprised with a complimentary glass of wine to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The room was large with comfortable bed with tea and coffee facilities (got milk on last day!) The bathroom was very large with a bath and shower over head. Only downside was that when you used the shower it flooded the floor in the bathroom due to the position of the shower head. All in all definitely visit again.

I had a great experience at this hotel. It was beautifully decorated with artistic elements and colorful schemes. The name of the hotel is largely displayed but you do have to be directly in front of the building to identify it. The hotel staff were friendly and pleasant. I received a complimentary drink on entry which was a pleasant treat for my birthday. I felt completely welcomed. They answered any of my questions and made accommodations, such as giving me a universal charger when I needed one. My room was a great size for one person but it would still be comfortable with 2 people. The room was cleaned every day and I even received a sweet treat :). I didn’t really like the shower design because I did I have to step over into the tub through a small opening (I could easily slip). However, that was a minor issue which could have probably been accommodated if I requested it. The food was decent. I did appreciate the buffet style, with a variation of food items. The hotel is located perfectly to nearby restaurants, stores, and attractions. I had the opportunity to save money by walking to most places. If I needed an Uber (highly recommend using as a transportation), I didn’t have to wait too long. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel with our little one in a lovely suite. The team made sure we had everything we needed, including a comfortable baby cot ready for us. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful art pieces on display throughout the public spaces and in our room. Our suite was very tastefully furnished, and we especially loved the gorgeous bathtub—using it every day felt like a real treat! The continental breakfast was a highlight for us, offering plenty of delicious choices, including mimosas to make the mornings extra special. We also tried several room service meals and were impressed—they tasted just like dishes you’d find at a top restaurant. The staff were always warm and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Honestly, this was the best hotel experience we've had in a long time, and we can't wait to return. If you’re exploring the area, I highly recommend dining at Mercearia Firmeza Gourmet, just down the street, for authentic Portuguese cuisine and wonderful service. We also strolled over to Mercado do Bolhão, a charming market full of unique artisanal vendors. Overall, we left with great memories and are already looking forward to our next visit!

A beautiful period hotel with unique artefacts and decor But still with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere The whole staff were so friendly and helpful with tips and advice And always on hand with whatever we needed We also really appreciated being able to use the lovely outdoor terrace at the sister hotel Which provided a welcome respite from the city Breakfast was good and plentiful but after a few days Would maybe like more variety of options The hotel is conveniently situated in a quiet part of the city but also within easy walking distance of the centre I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return

We stayed here for 4 nights and have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. It's in a quiet location, but not too from the main places of interest, restaurants and shops. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean. We hope to return to Porto one day, and would stay at The Editory Artist!

Hotel is very clean but had a smell in the common hallway. The room got really hot, had to completely turned off the fan unit and opened the windows. Hotel staff was very helpful to where the recommended attractions to go to. What restaurants and what type of local food they had at the different restaurants. Great to have bottle water provided each day.
