Hotel in zona Men＇s Wearhouse, Bon Air

This is an older property that they’ve tried to keep up to date with moderate success. I’ll start with the Pros: -despite being totally full with teenagers and a wedding, it was quiet and they maintained pretty good order. They had a police detail on scene in the evenings which seemed purely preemptive. Kudos to management for spending on that, a lot of places wouldn’t. -there’s a lot in the immediate area in terms of restaurants, stores, etc. Pretty much every chain you could think of is in the vicinity. -we didn’t use it but there’s a pool with an outdoor area. -the beds were unusually comfortable! Not sure if it was the Sheraton sweet sleeper bed but it stood out. -I requested additional items for our room from housekeeping and they were delivered in a reasonable timeframe and the associates were friendly. Cons: -The biggest one is the old and out of date HVAC. You have two options: blast chiller freezing or stuffy. The AC will go on and off all night and sound like a 1970 school bus doing it. It really bothered my sleep. I was either too cold, too hot, or it was really noisy to the point of repeatedly waking me up. -the rooms were last renovated in 2015 and it’s time for another update. Lots of wear and tear. Some components clearly weren’t updated then and are just really old. Bathroom fixtures, etc. -My room was supposed to be 2 Queens. There’s no way those were normal queens. More like double beds. It was a battle all night with my teenager. My review is a little rough, but that’s because sleep quality is paramount and mine was really poor at this hotel. HVAC doesn’t receive enough focus but it can make or break a hotel and this one was bad. Would I stay there again? I’d explore other options in the area first. Four Points is kind of an unusual sub brand—“full service” but more bargain oriented. I think you tend to find dated properties that don’t quite meet the brand standards of the mainstream brand. Is it a step above a Hampton/Courtyard? Perhaps, if the details are done right. If you are a heavy sleeper you will probably do better here than I did.

Questo è stato gestito più facilmente, ma metterlo in basso in una camera ADA (o fornire sapone e shampoo di vecchia moda nelle camere ADA) renderebbe ancora più piacevole.

Solo una notte e c'era un gruppo grande. Questo grande gruppo ha preso tutto il posto. Nella zona televisiva dove il soggiorno era pieno di adulti e bambini alti. Ci siamo recati nella nostra stanza alle 8:30 quella sera dopo aver uscito per un po'di tempo tranquillo. I bambini si sbattevano sulla porta mentre correvano e corse verso il corridoio, sì, i genitori non li fermarono. Credevo che questo sarebbe stato calmo entro le 12:00. Beh, ero sbagliato, questo quando si è continuato fino a 3:09AM nella strada di persone che parlano mentre si sono alzati e scesi sulla strada. Poi i gruppi fuori lato davanti all'hotel parlano alto.. Era così forte che pensavi fosse nella stanza.Abbiamo lasciato la TV per vedere se questo aiutava, non è successo. Il desktop frontale avrebbe dovuto fare qualcosa per fermare questo comportamento. Anche io ero un ospite pagatore. Molto deluso. Ho detto al giovane che mi ha controllato e ha detto che avevano problemi con loro tutta la settimana. Quindi ho dovuto pagare $200.00 per rimanere lì e non dormire.Il desktop front avrebbe dovuto fermare il gruppo di disturbare l'altro ospite. Ero molto turbato e ci ho provato la mattina dopo. Mi dispiace, ma oggi se ne vanno.

Sembrava un bel hotel tranquillo per rompere una lunga guida e dormire. È stato dato spazio al secondo piano sopra lo spazio di riunione. Una festa con un dj molto alto e gli ospiti si stava svolgendo quando mi sono iscritto alle 10:30. Sono andato in camera mia e sembra che un club notturno, letto che tremava al basso, possa sentire ogni battito e ogni parola. Sono tornato alle 1:15 e mi sono chiesto se potessi cambiare le camere in un altro piano o in un altro punto dell'hotel, perché era più alto di quanto mai, mi è stato detto che potevo, ma dovevo pagare più perché tutto quello che hanno lasciato è una suite! Vorrei sapere che non sarei rimasto qui per un fine settimana!
