Prive Hotel Bodrum

So me and hubby have been back a couple of weeks and I’ve debated long and hard about doing a review. Let’s start with the positives……location is excellent, with a water taxi close by which will take you into Bodrum. The staff again excellent from Alanur guest manager to Russell the hotel porter your knowledge second to none, all staff in the restaurants all so willing and helpful. Even on our first day my husband had his own wine tasting session as he found the hotels white wine very harsh and acidic. He settled on G&T for the week but thank you . Our room had a sea view and was of a decent size, water was always replenished and we’ve no complaints. The negatives, the one main thing was the food, I’m at a loss at reading some of the reviews ??? If being offered Brussel sprouts, broccoli, chips and soup for breakfast rocks your boat then fine ! Sorry but it’s not for me, choice of 2 soups, Tripe soup or lambs head soup again not my cup of tea. The beach restaurant at lunchtime is far better and was much enjoyed with offers of doner kebabs, pasta etc. We had a week just before the season started and I’m glad as I think the noise levels of the entertainment can be quite loud, we had a few nights of DJ,s yes the music stopped at midnight but is it really necessary to have it at such a loud volume ? Will we come back I’m not sure maybe if the food in main restaurant was improved, but at the moment I wouldn’t be in a rush.

I literally have no words how amazing this hotel is. The staff are unbelievable can't do enough for you. Dressed immaculate at all times always smiling and there attraction to detail is like nothing on have experienced before. And then there is the food 😋 say no more it's just the best. Prive Bodrum offered us far more than a holiday — it offered connection. While some aspects of the property showed signs of wear, what truly shone through was the outstanding, deeply human service from a team that works together like a family. We visited early in the season, when the atmosphere was wonderfully calm and the staff were warm, attentive, and full of energy and get go. What struck me most was the genuine teamwork and commitment — a young, energetic crew working under diligent, hands-on managers, all clearly striving to give their best every day. Many have been working together for years, and it shows: there’s a sense of camaraderie, mutual respect, and pride in their work. People are promoted from within, and the staff speak warmly of each other and their leadership. It’s a rare kind of cohesion that goes beyond professionalism into something more heartfelt. The hospitality felt human — people connected with us not just as guests but as fellow people. They made space for jokes, questions, curiosity. I learned Turkish words and local drinks and specialties not from a brochure but from people taking the time to chat and laugh with me. Their openness stayed with me. The buffet food was generous and varied: grilled sea bream and sea bass were a daily highlight, alongside mezze spreads, grilled meats, beautiful vegetables, and an impressive range of desserts (including very good chocolate and baklava). We were also surprised by how good the Turkish wines were! The beach snack bar offered both international comfort food and Turkish dishes freshly made to order — a real treat. Of course, there’s room for improvement. Some of the rooms and facilities could use a little more pre-season attention: mismatched and broken beach loungers, broken shower doors, and tired furnishings that don’t quite match the otherwise high standards of service. Communication about the start of entertainment programming (from early June) could have been clearer in the Jet2 hotel info. A few small fixes (curtain widths, paint touch-ups, draining issues) would go a long way to elevate the guest experience to match the quality of the people. As an autistic person with relatively low needs, I’d also like to mention that the hotel responded very well to my advance requests. Our room was quiet and the overall environment was calm, respectful, and inclusive — I felt very at ease. I leave Prive Bodrum with my belly full of good food, my skin sun-kissed, and my heart warmed by conversations that crossed languages and borders. In the end, it wasn’t just a resort stay — it was a reminder of how far a little care, attention, and human warmth can go. The location is very good for the boat taxi or road taxi to town..the boat taxi is nice but if in a group its much cheaper by road. Definitely upgrade to room with balcony as rooms without are basically a box with a bed..but if that's all you need then each to their own The staff are excellent they get to know you quickly and are very attentive and happy. Breakfast is the normal with cold options omelette station etc. Lunch time menu is best by the waterfront as table service and good choice..the buffet option is adequate. Evening meals....oh dear this is probably the only area it fails....repetitive menu and not good for us picky ones...and not always hot. Evening entertainment doesn't really start until June so can't comment. Yes would happily stay there again but Evening buffet needs looking at.The hotel is classed as 5 star but any of you had the privilege of staying 5 star in Belek and Antalya would question this rating.. that said there is a big difference in price..not a lot of choice in branded drinks...the house wine is not the best unless you go a la carte...then you taste the difference. Overall it's a very nice hotel with fantastic staff like mentioned would definitely go back and to be fair I am a basic English food sort of person so buffet opinion is somewhat biased on my taste...others will find it more than very good

Location couldn't wish for more. Views incredible.10/10 Meals generally poor.in main restaurant.in pool bar better 6/10 Room nice view of bodrum.room tired. Poor cleaning standards.on arrival bits under bed still there today.5/10 The only real upside is the staff always there to help and all with big smiles.10/10 Can't understand why such loud music so high at night till 12 midnight.not all want to hear boom boom. Would I come back.maybe if we knew music was toned down.and food more variety. This place has a lot going for it. COULD BE PERFECT.
