Lakeview Inn

We needed a place to stay after hours of riding our motorcycle in the rain. After quickly perusing reviews, we chose this motel. The owner was great, and the room was clean and quaint. They have rags to wipe down motorcycles. The hotel room had plenty of shampoo and soap. They had a Keurig with pods, creamer and sugar and Dad’s cookies. There were also mints on the bedside table. These little touches are so appreciated after a day on the road. I highly recommend staying here.

This motel is clean, staff is friendly, outside is well kept with parking in front of the door. We were on motorbike and they provided rags. Everything was excellent. There was 2 bottles of water and various coffee pods for the Keurig machine.

A nicely refurbished, well-maintained and friendly motel on this fairly remote stretch of Ontario Hwy 17. Don’t be misled by online reference to it being closed (likely refers to restaurant) or sold out. Call and you will likely get a room. Friendly owner and staff. Nice oasis along the long stretch of northern forest.

Don't drive by if you are in need of a place to stay. This motel was extremely clean, very comfortable and the owner a pleasure to speak with. We will definitely returex. Thank you again for the cleanliness of the room. Oh wait, it's the little things that matter, they had real Kleenex, hard to believe but it's so true, 2 little candies on the nightside table with a note "sweet dreams" and are you ready for this one, they actually had 4 regular coffees in the room, we didn't have to ask for 2 additional ones. I was gob smacked 4 reg and 2 decaf. Maybe the big chains should be paying attention to the little details as the Lakeview does.

I booked a night at the Lakeview Inn to break up the drive from London to Wawa, and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! First off, there was no view of any lake from anywhere on the property, so I'm not sure where the name comes from, but it's a very well kept classic ***** motel, the likes of which are becoming increasingly rare. I had a late check-in (close to 10PM), but I was welcomed warmly and given a room at the opposite end of the motel from where a small group of partiers was staying--much appreciated! While the decor may be described as "dated," the room was spotlessly clean, and there were many little extras I wouldn't have expected in a motel at this price point: a microwave, Keurig coffee maker, complimentary water, some Dad's oatmeal cookies (those took me back), and even a couple of mints on the nightstand with a "Sweet Dreams" message. The bathroom was tiny but serviceable, and again completely spotless. I enjoyed a good night's sleep and hit the road early the next morning. I encourage anyone passing through Blind River who needs a clean, attractive, quiet place to rest their head for a night to give the Lakeview Inn a try. I would definitely return!

I had stayed at the Lakeview a few years ago, and made a note to return to it when in the area again, as it was the nicest place I found on a long road trip. This time did not disappoint. The owner is obviously committed to excellent customer service, and pride of ownership. There are beautiful colourful planters out front; the exterior and interior are spotless. The coffee is Keirig, there's Tetley tea, and some Dads cookies. Our two previous motel stays were disappointing, so we were very happy to land at the Lakeview.

Well maintained, clean and tidy motel. The owner is very personable and makes his guests feel welcome. Fridge, coffee maker, and other little touches in the room make this a great place to stay after a day of travel. Tim Hortons and a restaurant are within walking distance.

A clean and comfortable motel stay. Friendly front-of-desk, and was able to recommend a restaurant for dinner. Despite being on the Trans-Canada, the area was very quiet and we had a good sleep. I do think that the price is a little steep in comparison to similar motels in small towns in Northern Ontario, but no regrets staying here.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our room and our experience! Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The owner and staff were very friendly. It is an easy walk to get food or groceries. It was a pleasure to stay there and we’ll be back!
