Hotel in zona Flekaskilin, Blaskogabyggd

We have spent 1 fantastic night at Bjork Guesthouse as a last minunte booking due to a problem with another hotel in the same area. We have soon loved the kidness and the warmth of the owner, we guess this is the first and very important visiting card for an accomodation, when you feel really welcome as it happened to us! The place is an old renovated house since 1930 but fully furnished with everything you might need. We had a private wonderful bathroom, a huge sleeping room with 2 double beds and even a yummy icelandic chocolate as welcome! We have loved the peace of the area and the beauty of the whole environment. Very recommended it

Overall really good hotel. Perfect spot to see all the stops in the Golden Circle. The hotel has modern updates. We stayed in a family room which was nice to have twin beds for the kids although everyone is in essentially the same room. The room was always warm even though we kept the windows open and it was cool outside. Bathroom window could have used a shade as it was quite bright in there in the middle of the night in the summer. Breakfast was good, mostly a continental-style breakfast, but was overpriced for what it was (even for Iceland).

Premetto che è necessario contestualizzare al livello di hospitality islandese che è tremendamente caro e scarso in relazione al prezzo, quindi questa guesthouse vale il cinque perché si trova a competere qui. Servizio efficiente e simpatico da parte di uno staff molto giovane, camere e servizi (in comune) molto puliti ed una posizione vicino al lago super all’interno di un antico collegio che porta ancora i segni del suo passato con foto alle pareti a ricordare quei tempi. Soggiornarvi è stato quasi emozionante con un atmosfera sospesa tra passato e presente. Buona ed abbondante la prima colazione, parcheggio nella struttura e possibilità di piccoli acquisti come ricordo. Il prezzo sui 170 euro per una doppia li vale veramente tutti.

Average place. A few things to feedback. 1. Room heater not all functioning. For cold weather this is not good. 2. Kitchen provides dish detergent but no sponge for washing. Hope in future can provide. 3. TV only has one working channel. Not sure why there is a need to have a blue Ray dvd player as people doesn't usually travel with dvd. Hope this can improve. 4. Laundry prices varies across whoever is doing reception. We asked the night we arrived and it was 2000 including drying. Next morning we bring over the price is 3000 including drying. Overall stay comfort wise average. Location is good though as we got to see aurora borralis within 100m of the cottage.

Amazing cabin with everything you need, full kitchen allow you to cook dinner and breakfast. Only downside was the lack of communication before arrival, had to wait at the gate for over 20minutes for a staff to come by so we can get the keys.

Our cabin was truly amazing, it had everything you needed and it's in a perfect location to see all the touristic attractions in Iceland arund the Golden Circle. The hot tube is just dreamy, the water is really hot and the location is superb, with wild horses in the area. It would be a great place to see the aurora (we weren't lucky though). The owner is such a friendly woman, she told us a lot about the Iceland traditions, we had a traditional meal there and she even baked my father a cake for his birthday. This to me, is going above and beyond. We loved the cabin, it had big windows and the view was so beautiful. It was really warm inside, which we loved, but you can lower the radiators or open windows if you prefer colder temp. Regarding the price - I looked a lot around before booking and this property had the best priced, so great value for money. Of course, you also need to rent a car. Thank you - we would go back anytime.

Parto subito con il dire che questa sarà la più bella struttura di tutte quelle toccate nei miei i10 giorni in giro per l’Islanda. La posizione è ottima, praticamente si attraversa la strada e ci si trova tra i geyser. Ampio e gratuito parcheggio davanti all’ingresso con rampe che rendono facile il trasporto anche di valige di dimensioni importanti senza fatica.. Sin dall’esterno la struttura è bella, un architettura moderna, ben integrata con il territorio e che da subito fa traspirare elementi raffinati ed un buon livello, questo che anche per il ristorante accessibile dall’esterno che si presta ottimamente per cene romantiche ed eleganti. Gli spazi comuni interni non tradiscono l’aspettativa, elementi di arredo molto piacevoli, accoglienti che rendono particolarmente paccogliente l’atmosfera. Sono stati sapientemente accostati elementi strutturali grezzi (colone in cemento armato) con l’arredo ed un buona valorizzazione data dall’illuminazione. Le camere son spaziose dotate di grande televisione con alcuni canali satellitari, angolo con bollitore e macchina da caffe per qualche bevanda calda da farsi direttamente in camera. L’illuminazione è molto curata ed accogliente, di contro se proprio devo trovare un difetto sarebbe opportuno avere la possibilità di illuminare maggiormente proprio l’area snack perché si fa un po’ fatica a vedere, basterebbe una lampada o un una barra a led accendibile a comando (o con il movimento) in quel mobiletto. Bagno molto grande bisogna fare un po’ di attenzione con la doccia che tende ad allagare un po’ l’esterno ma è una piccolezza. Temperatura ottima con un ambiente caldo. Pulizia ottima, personale gentilissimo e molto professionale adatto ad accogliere una clientela internazionale anche di alto livello. WiFi con ottima connessione in tutta la struttura sia in camera che negli spazi comuni. La colazione ha un buon assortimento sia di dolce che di salato anche se, per come è tipica la zona, più sbilanciata verso quest’ultima. Struttura in cui assolutamente tornerei e che terrei nei miei itinerari di viaggio futuri sperando che il suo pricing non lieviti.
