Hotel Beach Palace

This is an excellent hotel. By looking at the photos, it seems they were taken before a recent refurbishment. Now there is not a single thing that I could criticise. Great facilities nice personnel, nice comfy room, great view of the sea. Full stop.

This hotel probably knew better days. When you walk in your room everything feels right. The rooms are tasteful and look fresh, but other parts feel old. The bathtub has yellow streaks and the shower head had no pressure and looks like it was installed in the 70’s. There was no hose installation. Internet was unrealisable and even the elevators were old and didn’t have all the right commands for the buttons. There is a parking available, but if your vehicle is larger it will be challenging. You are on the sea and I would suggest that if you cannot have a sea view, it would not be worth staying here. In any case, the place is ok, but it shouldn’t be claiming 4 stars anymore. Maybe once many years ago.

A very nice hotel to stay in. Good value for money, excellent location and very clean. Also very impressed with the level of hospitality and compassion towards guests. Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a nice getaway at the beach.

The view & location are great but sadly the hotel is very much a has-been place: needs a full refurbishing face-lift and for what they charge as a supposed 4-stars hotel is shameful. We would give it a maximum of two stars. Apart from the entrance door and the reception desk of the Epoque, nothing else is worth it. The rooms/ bathroom are stuck in the 80s with the wallpaper peeling and cracks in the walls. As for the bathroom, not at all easy access and can be dangerous with nothing to grab on to. The Hotel boasts about its SPA and swimming pool. Now that we have been there, we are certain their pictures on their website must be photoshopped. In reality, both are poky dark and the pool is lit up with green light. We wonder why? Also, the smell of the chlorine is very strong and not pleasurable at all - we poked our heads in there and run a mile. The breakfast room was nice and large. Nevertheless, in these COVID times and with so many people staying at the hotel, the buffet area should be better organised to avoid people bumping into each other. This could be very easily implemented for there is no lack of space. Last but not least, for such a large hotel, their elevators are very slow and one was not functioning. No one thought to put a sign up on the elevator informing guests to avoid it! The experience of being stuck in there was not at all pleasant. We would never go back there and certainly not at their pricing.

Great location but a bit too commercial

Het is een mooi hotel, een aanrader. Alleen was het heel jammer dat een een familiekamer hadden gekregen terwijl we 2 aparte kamers hadden geboekt. We konden alles horen wat op de andere kamer gezegd werd. De airco/verwarming begon snachts ineens lawaai te maken terwijl dat die niet aanstond. De tv werkte niet, was constant storing. De frigo maakte ook veel lawaai. Het ontbijt was een aanrader alles wat er moest zijn was er. Zeer lekker! Welness was ook leuk, enkel meer handdoeken voorzien.

- kamer en gangen niet aangepast aan kinderen. Natte plek in de gang vanuit een lek in het plafond. - ik geraakte met mijn dochter en haar buggy niet in de lift. - kamer met zicht op jachthaven, is eerder zicht op de mini-golf. - uiteindelijk naar een andere kamer getransfereerd met zeezicht mits een opleg. - lekker ontbijt!
