Room was clean and tidy as expected. The downside for us was after booking in I took my car to the Gridserve chargers and couldn't drive back to the hotel because it is a one way system. I had to drive north and loop around to get back, quite ridiculous.

Excellent room good access to the A1 and friendly staff! Room was very quiet and clean and I had no complaints whatsoever about the room! Staff kept the room quiet and private and it was very relaxing and peaceful and relaxing and very reasonably priced

Cannot fault the travelodge especially at the price and will always use them . Burger King only food option which was nearly un -edible but was so hungry I had no choice . Would have preferred to stay hungry with hindsight.

Intially I was pleased with the room as it was presented in a nice way, but after looking a bit closer there was a bit of dirty parts that were not cleaned before I even unpacked! it was noisy at times, both inside and outside the hotel, which woke me up on my last night there. and finally I went to get a snack in the vending machine after forgetting a few things and it was broken! I had no other options of snacks at that point in time, which was dissapinting.

Be aware of cold rooms and unhelpful staff. Asked to move rooms for painting and decorating purposes, when asked to remove I was told there are no rooms baring in mind I had already been there for 7 days. Walls were very thin - Loud noises in the corridor throughout the night making it hard to sleep. Upkeep of the rooms was minimal, had the same towels and bedding for the whole duration of my stay. Overall not happy with the service and cleanliness of the hotel and will not be returning.

Worst experience, will not recommend. The rooms lack water pressure. The lady literally threw my food in the bin instead of keeping it in the fridge for a night and did not bother to tell me that there was no space in the fridge. Instead, throwing the food away was easier for her.

A bit noisy but to be expected when booking a hotel on the motorway. Nothing a pair of earplugs can’t fix. Bed was super comfy. Pretty sure we got more than a standard room even though we didn’t ask for it. Great value for money.

I've stayed at this site a few times with different family members when we visit Beamish Museum. It means that we can do two days at the museum with an economical pleasant overnight stay close by. It makes a day out into a short break holiday. This adds excitement for the different family members and saves travelling.
