Travelodge Birmingham Central Broadway Plaza

Simple and bare bone. What else would you expect? The rooms are quite dim even with lights on. Near metro station so it's convenient.

Stayed November 2024 for 3 nights. I had room 171. The guys who run this place are all so super friendly and attentive to your needs. When I checked in she said she'll put me in a quiet room. The window overlooked a private space and apart from some arcade noise underneath that played in the evening, I didn't hear any other noise. I slept really well all three nights there. My room card worked fine the whole time I was there, but did overhear some other guests complaining about their room cards not working. When I booked I also paid for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was basic but fine. The dinners I wasn't too keen on and one had pasta that was slightly undercooked. It took a day to suss out the layout to the place, being in room 171 I went through the door entrance near the main entrance and it was a two minute walk in a huge circuit to find the room. However there was a much quicker 15 seconds walk going via the door by the food buffet. The room was a typical Travelodge room. The kettle looked like a previous person had tried cooking food in it so was a bit dirty. One light bulb didn't work. I managed to borrow a hairdryer from reception. I didn't request room service, but was able to get toilet rolls at reception when needed. There is a huge Morrisons about a five minute walk away. Thank you Travelodge for my stay in Birmingham.
