Wellness Hotel Ondrášův dvůr

I would have happily given this hotel 5 stars if it weren’t for an unfortunate error made by the hotel staff. We booked our stay back in January and, based on recommendations, I specifically requested Room 13D for a special occasion with my husband. I was very excited about it. However, the night before our arrival, I received a phone call saying that the room was no longer available due to a "technical issue." Upon arrival, the receptionist admitted the room had actually been overbooked. It was a disappointing start to our stay. That said, the location is absolutely beautiful — the hotel is surrounded by forest, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The spa is lovely, the restaurant serves delicious and beautifully presented food, and breakfast was generous with plenty of variety. There is ample parking available, and you can park conveniently close to your accommodation. Staff varied — some were very friendly and helpful, while others came across as a bit indifferent or unhelpful. For international guests, I’d suggest adding English translations to the signs throughout the hotel, including at breakfast and in the restaurant. We didn’t realise there was an English menu available until later, and it would be much easier if English was included directly underneath Czech on the main menu. Booking spa treatments, saunas etc. could be improved — I’d recommend implementing a simple app or online booking system to make this easier for guests. Despite the initial issue and a few areas for improvement, we enjoyed our stay overall and would consider returning.
