Love the location, but service of check-in and menu are dated. Many texts a week before arrival, but not one describing the after hours process! No one to ans the front desk after 6 PM - thankfully the maintenance guy did

Overall Alila Ventana was lovely. However, I’d never pay the standard cash rate. The point redemption for a standard room was worth it in my opinion. We traveled for a long weekend in February and the grounds/views were spectacular. Check-in was smooth, and all of the staff were very friendly. The room was clean, albeit, a little outdated. Our biggest issue was the noise. We were in a fireplace room on the bottom floor and it was LOUD. Even with a sound machine we could hear people at all hours of the night. I’d definitely request a quiet room if you stay here (top floor). The food was really good, no complaints at all. The pool wasn’t warm enough for us, personally but the hot tub had a gorgeous view. The complimentary activities were great (we did the hikes and the wild crafting). I do wish there was more offered, we really wanted to do the yoga in the glass house but it wasn’t offered at all during our stay. We did end up adding a couple massage and that was great, it is VERY expensive though and there’s no actual “spa” you just use the pool, hot tub, and sauna that’s open to the hotel guests. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great points redemption with Hyatt.
