We visited with a total of five friends for a one-day trip. The cabin is cozy and feels like home, but the air conditioning doesn't work very well. During the summer season, it gets really hot at night, and four of us had to sleep in one small room. The large upper room is really nice, but it gets hot during the day. The location is great, as it's near the center of Big Bear Lake. On the positive side, the cleaning was good. Despite the heat, we had a lot of fun!

Average old school place. Comfy enough bed, table and chairs, decent size fridge and microwave, TV with multiple channels, heat that worked. The bathroom, specifically the shower, was a challenge. It was incredibly small with a shower head that was probably 6 feet up on the wall so hard to reach and impossible to adjust. An outside light shined in the bathroom all night long, so the door needed to be kept closed at all times. One afternoon our key stopped working. Since it was shoulder season the office hours were very irregular, so we had to try to track down someone to come and let us in our room. Needless to say, it was very frustrating and then there wasn't even an apology for the inconvenience.

Very cute rustic decor. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was great as we had family camping on the north shore. Close to town and recreational options. Staff responded quickly to any questions we had. Only stayed one night but would stay here again when we have more time in the area.

Really quirky rooms that offer a great alternative to the generic, homogenous motels that are at the same price point. Proper wood burning fires, comfy beds and excellent general amenities. The staff were friendly and laid-back. I highly recommend staying here.

Very helpful and friendly staff, went above and beyond. Room was clean and comfortable. Large refrigerator and plenty of ice. Very comfortable and easy parking. Perfect location for an easy drive to Bear and Summit.

Diamond in the rough - very cute and well, lovingly equipped cabin. Very friendly staff. The fire place in winter must be amazing! The cabin is perfectly located for hikes as well as for a visit to the village. Hopefully we can return one day!

The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She had also called us earlier in the day to ask when we'd be arriving, just in case we were coming in after the office closed. We were very pleased when we walked into our king room and saw the huge fireplace and cabin decor. We found it to be clean and equipped with a mini frig and microwave. The down side for us was the very high bed which made it difficult to get into for our "senior" bodies as well as the hard mattress with thin pillows. While some people may like a firm bed, we both woke up with back aches. There was some significant road noise early on, but it did die off to almost nothing by 10pm which ultimately resulted in a peaceful night. We were in room 2 . The shower was pretty small and the drain had a screw that stuck up above the tile floor. It was very difficult to not step on that area while showering and really needs to be fixed before someone rips their foot open.

We stayed for the 1st time at Embers it was a great little room. Staff was excellent... everything was perfect and we will be come back soon. We have been coming to Big Bear since July 2022 we have stayed at the place across the street and down the road and we have decided this is where we will be staying from now on to book a cabin. Thank you Embers for a great accommodations.

The most magical cabin in the snow. Warm, cozy and the staff were so friendly. The bed was comfortable, open fireplace and a small kitchenette. Great location with a fabulous Mexican next door. Short drive into town, We wish we could have stayed longer
