We booked Seya Suites single room for 15 nights in August. Like a lot of large city hotel rooms it was a bit on the small side. However, the room had been recently updated and we were not interested in spending any time there other than to rest. The hotel is a small boutique hotel tucked in behind and above a very nice restaurant (Wama's). As budget travelers we thought this place was awesome. The staff were always available to help with luggage, hail taxis, and give us the scoop on where to go and what to see. Thanks to Nazar, Roushen, Kivanch, and Tahir. You guys rock! We wanted to be centrally located on Istiklal Cd. and Seya is about half way between Taksim Square and Galata Tower. From this location you can walk (assuming fit enough) to the Old City, Galataport, Cihangir, and so many interesting locations and eateries. A truly international place to stay (pretty sure there were not other U.S. citizens there during our visit). Considering how close to Istiklal Cd. this hotel is we thought it was pretty quiet. Of course you will hear some noise from the throngs of people out on the street, but with the single rooms tucked in the back of the building noise is not an issue. Not sure you can say the same for the Suites which face out onto Istiklal. Great time to visit Turkey and your U.S. dollar makes everything so affordable. Can't wait to go back, and we would 100% choose to stay here again.
