Brace yourselves for a rollercoaster of an experience that will leave you questioning the very notion of hospitality! Let me start on a positive note, for it would be a disservice to neglect the shining beacon of hope that was the reception. The customer service there was an oasis amidst the barren desert of disappointment. The receptionists, with their unwavering smiles and polite demeanor, almost made me forget that I was entering the twilight zone. But alas, once I ventured beyond the cheery reception area, reality took a nosedive. The corridors seemed to have been designed by a maze-loving architect who had a grudge against sanity. The room itself was a fascinating blend of outdated decor and questionable cleanliness. It felt like a time capsule from the '80s, with carpets that had seen more travelers than Amsterdam's canals have seen bicycles. The beds were, well, a mystery. Sleeping on a mattress so soft is like cuddling with a marshmallow that refuses to let go in the morning! As night fell, I settled in for what I hoped would be a peaceful slumber. Oh, how wrong I was! The thin walls turned my neighbors' conversations into an impromptu symphony of sleeplessness. It felt like I had a front-row seat to an Amsterdam-themed episode of ”The Jerry Springer Show.” And let's not forget the unique amenities this hotel offers! Apparently, the New West Inn prides itself on a state-of-the-art plumbing system that faithfully mimics the soothing sounds of a waterfall. I half-expected to find a misplaced Amazonian jungle behind the bathroom door. To sum it all up, my stay at the New West Inn Hotel was a twisted adventure that will be etched in my memory forever. This was a journey of endurance I never signed up for. But let it be known, in this tale of woe, the receptionists shone like diamonds in the rough. Their impeccable customer service provided a glimmer of hope in an otherwise surreal experience. As for the New West Inn Hotel, it shall forever hold the title of ”Amsterdam's Weirdest Adventure,” a dubious honor that only the brave dare to undertake. Albergo tesoro! Prendere un taxi dall'aeroporto di Kiev costa 41 euro. Il risultato è proprio accanto alla zona centrale del canale! Acquista un biglietto GBV, prendi la linea ferroviaria 2 (nota che non è un autobus) e ci vogliono solo 15-20 minuti per raggiungere la stazione centrale (stazione ferroviaria di Amsterdam, che è il punto di partenza della zona del canale centrale, circondata per attrazioni). La linea 2 è tutta la strada È un'attrazione turistica e anche le tariffe degli autobus per i tour della città vengono risparmiate. C'è una piccola comunità vivente accanto all'hotel, con supermercati e bar. La cosa più importante è che ci sono due fast food indonesiani, che hanno lo stesso sapore del cibo cinese. Gli amici a cui manca il cibo cinese durante un viaggio d'affari in Europa possono soddisfare la loro voglia! Sebbene l'edificio dell'hotel sembri moderno dall'esterno, la hall dell'hotel appare così quando entri! Tuttavia, la decorazione e l'arredamento delle camere d'albergo, dei bagni, ecc. sono solo al livello degli Home Inn in Cina. Normalmente la tariffa della camera va dai 500 ai 600 RMB, ma durante le festività pasquali europee il prezzo supera i 1.000 RMB.

Short journey from Schipol Airport, less than 30 minutes. The hotel is perfectly suited for the AK Alkmaar Football Stadium which is a ten minute walk away. It is 25 minutes walk into the fabulous town of Alkmaar. The hotel has a good onsite Sushi restaurant. The staff are great. The hotel is safe and clean. But it is limited. Breakfast is a basic offering, good variety but quality average. Rooms are ok, functional but again just. The hotel reception doubles up as a bar. Not ideal. So for me it’s a good base for exploring Alkmaar but it is a no frills hotel. If you want a bit more, you need to stay elsewhere.

Un po' deluso, la foto mostra una vista sul lago, ma la nostra camera no. Ma è comunque un bell'albergo Ci sono molte strutture per l'intrattenimento, palestra, biliardo, calcio balilla, ping pong e anche il servizio è molto buono.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Haarlem, a good 35-minute walk to the central square. There is very little around it in terms of shops or cafes or restaurants. So calling it ”Haarlem City” is a bit of a stretch! It is a 12-minute walk (through a nice residential area) to Bloemendaal train station, which makes it quite easy to get to Amsterdam. Haarlem's main train station is about a 25-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and good size. But (and this is a big but!) the hotel was built right next to a big sports centre and if your room faces north it will block your window as it is literally in front of it. This is a really poor design choice, it makes affected rooms feel claustrophobic. This is something the hotel should make clear at the time of booking. Parking in front of the hotel costs 7.5 Euros per night. Given its non-central location, you would expect parking to be free. So mixed feelings overall. Nice and spacious rooms, but the issues I mentioned above detract from the overall experience and value for money.

Questo hotel è di bilancio e di base ma assolutamente perfetto per un paio di giorni di visita ad Amsterdam. Ci siamo molto lieti di uscire dal treno da Schiphol via Sloterdijk e trovare l'hotel è stato a 2-3 minuti a piedi dalla stazione. Zaandam è anche un bel posto con molti negozi, caffè e bar. Non abbiamo esplorato oltre la strada principale, ma ho anche detto che il tour della ventola non è lontano a Zaanse-Schans. La struttura è molto amichevole, la macchina caffè nel lobby è costretta a €1.50 per un cappuccino. Non ci sono strutture per colazione, ma molti caffè a piedi. anche un grande supermercato lungo la strada. La camera è piccola ma pulita con una buona vista sull'ambiente circostante. La doccia non sarebbe fuori luogo in un hotel 5 stelle, era brillante. 10 minuti sul treno per Amsterdam Centrale e i treni correvano da circa 6 a 1am ogni 15 minuti.
