Poorly managed, checked in and told to write details in a book. Next day get a horrible phone call accusing and threatening us of leaving the room in a mess. It wasn't even the room we stayed in! With better check in process they'd of known that!

Nice facelift, bit shoddy underneath. Bed shocking, cheap mattress could feel the springs and went completely flat when sat/laid on it. Wi-Fi shockingly slow, could not pick up mail. Slept OK, but doubt I would return. No food at all, bought a pack of cereal and a pint of milk at Tesco and had breakfast at the office.

Met up with some friends and was told to stay here. Have stayed in pubs before and not been impressed, but the new pub manager Darren couldn’t have been more welcoming. The rooms were fairly large with bathrooms. Both were modernity decorated and the bed was a good size and warm, ensuring a great nights sleep. The full English breakfast didn’t come with room, but was a fair price for a more than ample plate of food. If anyone had any questions/ queries relating to stay or local area, Darren was very helpful, ensuring that our stay was a delight. I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting something a bit different to the usual premier inn stay.

We booked this last minute, to be honest couldnt get in premier inn. So glad the premier was full, from arrival the welcome we had was 1st class. The rooms were spotless (our room had stained carpet but nothing too bad) bed was comfy, bathroom compact but again spotless with waterfall shower. We returned to hotel/pub to be met by the locals in full party mode/karioke night and i have to say we were greeted by friendliness and included by all. Close enough to town centre to walk, altho we were given card for taxi if needed.Brilliant stay cant recommend enough

Stayed here at the weekend what a gem of a place lovely staff everyone was very friendly.Rooms lovely and clean . Karaoke night on a Sunday had a great laugh will def be back in the future was made very welcome. Also not far walking or driving too the town centre

Great atmosphere in the bar and great characters all round the pub, rooms are very clean and tidy, bed is very comfortable, shower is lovely, very friendly staff, felt very welcomed as soon as I walked in. all in all a very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend.

Great night at The Gamebird. Went to see a comic hypnotist and it was such a good night. Will definitely be coming back! It’s a great pub and the locals are all so friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, really clean and comfortable. Highly recommend

Lovely B&B and great breakfasts. Rooms are huge and really comfortable and clean. Had a few drinks and game of rock and roll bingo in the pub in the evening. Really friendly and helpful staff who advised on where to go around the area for food and things to do.
