Alagoa Resort

We returned to Alagoa after 25 years and stayed in the cottages in the lush gardens. The food was great in the restaurant and especially one staff member, Peter, couldn’t do enough for us, very pleasant and helpful in every way. In the afternoons the music in the restaurant, by the pool was turned up , I’m not sure for whom? Maybe the large groups of Indian male tourists (company dos). We asked the staff to turn it down if it was only us around, which they did , but it soon was restored . It is a bit odd to us, who come to relax and enjoy the nature, food and Indian cuisine and culture to listen to full blast of American pop covers . We spent the days at the lovely beach nearby , and the music certainly kept us away from laying by the pool as we otherwise would have done when the beach got too hot. But the cottages were quiet and had a lovely veranda with seating which were good at the heat of the day.

We were 20 people staying at the resort. The pool area and cottages are very pleasant but the rooms are situated at a 100 step walk away from the actual resort. The staff is very compeetent and courteous. The north india food is below average. Multicuisines are better. Mr milagres is the restaurant ***ager. He is an absolute gem. Works tirelessly , gives personal attemtion to each table. The cocktails are must try. The table tenis and pool tables are out of order sadly. Overall its a budget friendly place with nice staff.

It's a very good experience with Ala Goa , perticular simran and house keeping ***ager Thio and his team is very good and keep rooms clean. Simran in resiopson is excellent co operative and very good neture

This review is purely on my worst experience I had in Alagoa. There are series of events which took place during my stay which hampered my time is the hotel. I stayed on 04th June ***** with my wife. We chosen Alagoa even after having issues in my precious stay. We were assured better services by the FOM and was advised to take of my last review on trip advisor. This was not the case, experience was worse than my stay in Feb. * We checked in late in the hotel, at check-in we realised that again we are being given Twin bed room even after giving prior request for king size bed. * When we raised the issue to front desk, we were told to wait. Another front desk associate came to handle our issue with full attitude and wearing pull over. He goes to check for another room, comes back to us and say it is also twin bed * We mentioned to him about the request, he initially denied we giving any request and later it was mentioned to us that it is there. * Very casual approach towards our disappointed arrival experience, and to make the matter worse we are offered an upgrade to cottage with an additional charge. Now paying an additional charge was not a problem but we were not comfortable to stay in Cottage as there are pest issues, privacy is a big concern and also the heavy curtains are not heavy curtains in some cottages. All this was explained to them but we were given attitude look by both the front desk staff. * A polite gesture which is taught in full hospitality sector " My apologies sir, we do not have any king size bed rooms available right now" (Not even once the associate apologized to us) * Now as mentioned above, I tried to get in touch with the FOM. Unfortunately he is no more working in that property and we were told a new ***ager has joined for around 10 to 15 days. We requested to speak to him, call was made... No answer * When I asked for ***ager on duty, I was told he is the ***ager but not in the property. * The main reason for my stay - This was a rest after full day celebration of my birthday. Again it was mentioned to the front desk team, but nobody even bother to wish. They were just standing and giving us a look that we have to accept it what they are giving or we are free to leave the hotel. * We had to choose the room with twin bed. I will not forget to appreciate the HK associate who was there ***** with us from the time we checked in, he was so humble and polite... He came with us in the room and with a hospitality touch he made us comfortable in the room * Once we checked in - we came across TV not working. Again we had to wait for the engineering associate to come and replace our TV set. He assured us he will come in the morning and place the TV properly. Also we were told by him that he had left for the day but due to this issue he had to return back ( I believe that was not necessary to inform us, it sounds like we have given him a trouble) * During the time TV replacement process was on, I called up the fr

Alagoa is well located to use the beach, being a 7 minute easy waik. The swimming pool is good and food satisfactory. The garden is well maintained. Good for a family reunion. On weekends they had a band playing. The lighting in bedrooms need to be better.

Food was good, Ambience is great the service was wonderful thanks to mr hanu*** for giving a wonderful service thanks alagoa Beach is very close to the resort, you can go by car/bike or even by walking in 5 mins

Amazing cottages, delicious food, great service. A Fantastic dining experience we had in this property with sensational live music and lovely customer service. Thanks to the ***ager and Mario the chef. Keep up the good work guys. Cheers!

The place is really good and the staffs are very friendly and kind. The facilities were on point and the food at the restaurant was great. Staff Hanu*** was really helpful and kind. 😊 Good place to stay with friends!!!!!!!!!!!!
