HOTEL AMBASSADOR BERN An ideal mix of good location, excellent staff & facilities We chose Hotel Ambassador primarily because it offered free parking service as we were travelling on rent-a-car and didn't have much idea about parking houses in Bern But the hotel turned out to be much better than our expectations. POSITIVES (+) The location is brilliant especially if you're new to the city. Close proximity to the tramp stop and ideally located in a neat, clean neighborhood. (+) I got a message from the hotel one day in advance summarizing all details of the stay and the city. Special thanks to Dominika Motykova who sent this message which really helped me book my free tramp tickets and get ready for the hotel stay (+) The staff and service are very good. Smooth check-in and check-out experience (+) I got a two bedroom option as we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children. This was really awesome as kids were independent and loving their own room (+) Views from the room especially with the barn and cattle side is breathtaking. Highly recommended to go for this view instead of city / old town view (+) Abel at the bar was very friendly and gentle during service hours in the evening. He chit chatted about our country, stay and gave advice on the tourist attractions. NEGATIVES (-) The hotel is slightly outdated in terms of infrastructure with old styled keys for opening doors, slightly old furniture & upholstery. The walls and carpeting inside the hotel is 90s styled. (-) The most painful aspect I experienced was the bed which was of poor quality with the mattress & pillows being really off. I was sleepless on both nights that I stayed here. (-) The pool is not heated and has limited space for people with only 4-5 beds and chairs (-) Access from basement parking to the main hotel is through a ringer which new comers may not know. No clear signage or messaging is written anywhere on how to go inside from the basement. I had to literally drag all the luggage by myself to the lobby for elevator access Overall, based on service / location / neighborhood, the place is Highly Recommended Rating: 8 / 10

Collocato in pieno centro storico, comodo x girare sia a piedi che per prendere i mezzi. Due posteggi x auto nelle immediate vicinanze con tariffe agevolate. Struttura rinnovata e camere family spaziose ben arredate, con vista sui tetti, angolo cucina, macchinetta nespresso, mini frigo, letti abbastanza comodi. Colazione internazionale nella media comunque soddisfacente. Roof bar con una bellissima view della città e ottimi cocktail. Personale gentile e disponibile, ambiente accogliente.

Qualche giorno fà abbiamo pernottato in questo bellissimo Hotel che vanta una posizione centrale, una volta usciti ci si trova direttamente nel cuore della città. Il punto forte del Hotel è senza dubbio l'ospitalità, il personale è davvero squisito, ti fa sentire come a casa, sono addirittura andati a comprare il latte vegetale apposta per noi. Quanto riguarda la pulizia delle stanze è davvero impeccabile e devo dire che i letti sono davvero comodi. Infine la colazione molto varia e abbondante. Se siete in zona vale davvero la pena.

The location of the hotel is located about 3-4 tram stops from the Bern station. There weren’t many amenities located in the vicinity of the hotel and they are mainly found 1-2 tram stops away. The good thing is that the city provides hotel guests with free tram transportation so you should ask the front desk about it. The room size was decent but not very big. The air conditioning did not seem to work very well and we had to open the window in winter to cool down the room. However, the minibar was complimentary and they provided apple juice, still water, sparkling water and beer (2 bottles each). The experience was generally consistent with that of a 4 star hotel and the price.

L’hotel è bello al suo interno, molto moderno (in particolare la reception). Le camere non sono nulla di speciale, sono pulite ma punto primo hanno la moquette (che io detesto) e punto secondo I CUSCINI sono terribilmente scomodi. Sono alti e duri come dei pezzi di cemento armato. Ho dormito malissimo proprio per questa ragione. Impossibile dormirci bene a meno di avere il collo di una giraffa. Colazione super.

Per quanto poco possa valere il mio giudizio vorrei sconsigliarvi vivamente questo pessimo hotel. Prima di tutto le foto che trovi sul sito ti traggono in inganno, la struttura in realtà è quella posteriore in cemento armato, orrenda. Le camere sono un miscuglio di baita e stile moderno, pavimenti rivestiti di finto legno rumorosissimo che continua sugli armadi. I letti sono peggiori di quelli economici dell'Ikea con materassi che hanno sicuramente visto tempi migliori. Le molle durante la notte cigolano sinistramente ad ogni tuo movimento. Gli asciugamanti non ti vengono cambiati durante il tuo soggiorno e te li tieni umidicci, il bagno è striminzito e poco funzinale. Le pantofole, se non hai le tue, devi chiedele alla reception, ridicolo. Parliamo ora dell colazione, quattro brioche messe in croce con due marmellatine confezionate e 4 dico 4 vasetti di marmellate aperte di gusti imprecisati. Non parlo delle fette di bresaola poste sul vassoio da chissà quante ore che non darei neanche al mio cane. Il top è il ristorante interno, abbiamo disgraziamente deciso di mangiarci. Abbiamo chiesto due calici di pro secco che ci hanno portato senza indicarci cosa fosse, i bicchieri dell'acqua che credo risalgano alle guerre puniche erano macchiate di rossetto. Abbiamo mangiato uno spiedino di pollo accompagnato da un riso con asparagi,se non fosse stato scritto sul menu' che era risotto l'avrei scambiata per una purea per quanto fosse scotto. Questo è indicato come un 4 stelle, ora vorrei sapere con quale criterio vengono assegnate le suddette, o le comprano o chi le assegna è ubriaco o venduto. Vergognoso, siamo scappati, pur pagandola, con una notte di anticipo. A proposito l'inonorizzazione delle camere è pessima.

My wife and I stayed at the Moxy in Bern. This is the second Moxy that we have stayed in (the first without Covid restrictions) and it didn’t disappoint. The room was a good size as Moxy hotels go with a two seater sitting area, fold out luggage stool, a large flat rack with hangers (a brilliant way to hang clothes without taking up floor space). The bed was supportive and comfortable. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but there is a kettle (and a microwave) in the lobby for guests to use. Staff were happy to regularly fill the kettle so I could have hot water in my flask for the room. All staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast was super and all food was to a very pleasing standard. They had a selection of two juices, at least 8 different cereals and 3 different milks, a couple of yoghurt options, fresh fruit, as well as a selection of breads, rolls and loaf with a toaster. There was also a selection of cold meats and cheeses. Breakfast included a choice of three hot options including scrambled eggs, bacon bits or sausages and also waffles. There was also a coffee machine providing latte, espresso etc. One of the things I really appreciated was that they put small quantities of food out so that it was regularly replenished and therefore fresh and not picked through. The hotel provided a small menu of bar snacks including Nachos and cheese, a couple of different rice/pasta dishes, a couple of different pizza options as well as flatbreads and a few other options. Food is not Michelin Star quality but was good and very welcome if you didn’t want to leave the hotel in the evening. Whilst the location of the hotel is out of the city centre (it is a 30 minute leisurely stroll to the Barengraben), we made use of the Bern Card which gives free travel in the city centre. Trains run every 10-15 mins and take 3-5 mins to reach the central station. There are other trams and buses but these take slightly longer. The Bern Wankdorf train station is extremely handy (about 50 metres from the hotel) but we hardly ever heard the trains in the hotel when the windows were closed. Between the station and the hotel is a handy Co-op store which, for all the size of it, was very well stocked with essentials including fresh bakery, fresh sandwiches and a small hot food counter. The hotel is also located less than a 10 minute walk from the Stadium Wankdorf complex which also includes a shopping centre, McDonalds, as well as a couple of other cafes. All in all, a great stay and we would be delighted to return to this hotel if we are ever in Bern again.

Sono stato al Berna Hostel per due notti e devo dire che è un super indirizzo per un breve soggiorno a Berna. Prenotazione e pagamento anticipato è stato completamente senza problemi. Il personale era super amichevole, ha preso tempo per spiegare le cose e si poteva anche piacere. Le camere sono spaziose, pulite e grandi bonus: ci sono per tutti un armadio che si può chiudere con la scheda. Il colazione è incluso e è più che ricca: caffè, musli, pane, formaggio, frutta quanto si desidera. Visto i prezzi costosi di Berna, questo è un assoluto piacere di iniziare così in giorno. Si ottiene anche la carta Berna 2 nel prezzo. Classe con cui si può utilizzare tutti i mezzi di trasporto pubblico (anche la cintura). Ho solo due piccole cose da difettare: bagno e toletta erano costruiti nella stanza delle scale e molto stretto. E le materassi erano assolutamente percorse. Oltre a queste piccole cose, non posso che raccomandare una visita, soprattutto a causa della situazione. I giovani ospiti sono situati direttamente nel centro della città e sono comunque confortevoli e tranquilli direttamente accanto all'area.

Super Unterkunft. Von A-Z hat alles geklappt. Eine tolle Unterkunft mit Kindern. Am Abend war es ab 22.00 uhr sehr ruhig im Hof und auch mit offenen Fenstern lässt es sich so gut schlafen. Das Frühstück war zum Geniessen in einem schönen Saal. Allgemein ist diese Jugendherberge wunderschön eingerichtet. Das Museum ist top und mit Kindern sehr gut machbar. Es gibt ein Rätselspass, basteln, Truhen öffnen, Schatzkisten und vieles mehr. Es lohnt sich dieses Museum zu besuchen. Diese Unterkunft ist nur zum Empfehlen

Wir verbrachten zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel in der Kategorie: Deluxe-Studio. Das Hotel liegt 150 m von der Bahnstation nach Bern entfernt. Die Bahn fährt tagsüber alle 22 Minuten bis in die Innenstadt zum Bahnhofsplatz/Spitalgasse für 14€ pro Person. Die Tiefgaragenplätze für 15€ pro Tag sind groß und vor dem Hotel gab es keine freien Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Per Self-check-in wurde eine Karte für das Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Luftzirkulation in den Fluren bis zum Zimmer sowie auch die Luft im Deluxe-Studio war sehr ”abgestanden”. Da sich im Deluxe-Studio die Fenster öffnen lassen, ist die Luft schnell wieder frisch. Das Deluxe-Studio hat eine Größe von 27 m2 und viel Stauraum in einem großen Schrank. Das Bett ist bequem mit Blick auf einem großen Flat. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, auch ein kleiner Geschirrspüler ist vorhanden. Ein Schreibtisch steht direkt vor der Fensterfront mit Gardinen und Außenrollläden. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wird erfüllt.
