Safaritent at Camping Belle-Vue 2000

I often visited this campsite through out the years, in various seasons. You know, I visited this site more than 15 times in a 8 years time span. I love the proximity of wonderful and (for some) demanding trails. Also, not to forget that the climbing area is in walking distance, perfect for my wife. My son also loves it for the MTB trails. I can state that this campsite is well alive and maintained. With the years, my family and myself had the chance to witness all the love and hard work which has been and continues to be done. I am grateful for being able to witness all theses evolutions. Long story short, great campsite, a lot of trees (perfect for overheated summers), the staff is friendly and helpfull, not to forget the Snackbar, rentables firepits. Love it!! I also see some reviews complaining about the mud.. I would like to remember that grass pitches could be muddy if it is raining for multiple days ^^"

Hmm, Where do I start. Firstly, when a campsite offers grey waste facilities please make sure you actually HAVE a grey waste area. Instead, this campsite has sought to maximise it's profits by parking a static caravan in said grey waste area, I kid you not. Secondly, when instructed to dump grey waste in the gulley opposite reception by your own staff do not come out and pretend that your customers are in some way stupid for making a mess that YOU caused. Thirdly, to answer the owner's question of how long I have been motorhoming, the answer is eight years and in that time I have never experienced a campsite that advertises a grey waste area (it's even on the map of their site) and then parks a caravan on top of it! Apart from that, the site is hilly, not level, has 2 out of 6 toilet doors that actually lock, and has very cramped pitches (another attempt at profiteering to customers detriment). I made the owner aware that this review was incoming, and no doubt he has the right to reply, but I would urge campers who do not wish to be humiliated in public to look elsewhere, In truth, this site is tired and overpriced at £22 a night with the added disadvantage that you have to take your grey waste away with you. Just one final point to address, you do NOT empty grey waste in the street drains running through the site as (apart from probably being illegal) the drains are on a very steep hill and if I remember correctly from my physics class water does not run uphill! Sad that sites like this exist but there you go, dont say you havent been warned.

Sehr schöner Campingplatz. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Die Wanderrouten liegen sofort am Campingplatz, perfekt für Wanderer und Naturliebhaber. Das Personal war sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Mir gefielen vor allem die großen Stellplätze. Die Sanitäranlgen sind sehr sauber und für das verlängerte Wochenende wurde mehrmals am Tag geputzt. Eine schöne Überraschung war die kleine Bar, wo man morgens Kaffee genießen kann und am Abend gesellig zusammen sitzt. Wir haben auch vom Brötchendienst Gebrauch gemacht, sehr zu empfehlen. Alles in allem hatten wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder.
