The Crown Inn at Benson

Joined family for a Sunday roast, my autistic son was struggling to choose a drink and the man serving us (I assume was the landlord) said to me “What would you like to drink while misery guts makes up his mind ” which reduced my son to tears , he then said to my Mum who ordered a one shot oat flat white “Oh for god sake!” Shocking customer service! The roast beef that was advertised as served pink was well done. If you are looking for mediocre food with very poor service ( the young ladies on shift were delightful by the way!) then this is the place for you!

Whilst the pub is lovely, and the menu has expanded, the cost simply isn't justified. It was £25 for a caesar salad which whilst nice was nothing extraordinary. We also ordered truffle and parmesan chips and unfortunately couldn't taste either. The rustic bread was £12 but actually had a great portion so was worthwhile. The owner is super friendly and we really liked the outdoor area.

Excellent stay again at The Crown... didn't think it could get any better, but it has. The little changes made over the last year are superb. Great restaurant with the best Sunday roast we have ever had! Staff are so friendly and the Landlord is so friendly and welcoming too. Room was beautiful with roll top bath. Great live singer when we arrived in the garden on Sunday which was a lovely touch. Our visit was superb and we will be back again very soon.

The Crown was everything we needed for an overnight stop with our pooch. Clean and tidy rooms, at a good price. They made everything so easy from the time I called to book, until we checked out after breakfast. Leanne and Sian were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. We couldn't of wished for more. Thank you !!

We were walking the Thames path and were running late for our table. We rang to advise and it was no problem. A lovely welcome. Fantastic roast dinner. Service was very good. Would definitely recommend. Top notch. 10/10. Will definitely go again.

I m still at Crown inn for few days during my short trip in this area. The building is traditional and warm, bed Is very comfortable and shower very hot! I had good soup for dinner, lovely time... Like my stay here. Looking forward to have breakfast tomorrow!
