Ava Resort Cancun - All Inclusive

I was at AVA Cancun for my friend’s 50th birthday trip, part of a big group that trusted this place because of past good experiences with Hard Rock. Big mistake. On the second night, while the parents were out, security and staff showed up at their suite and pushed to come inside. The only people in the room were teens and young adults (13–20) eating room service. No music, no alcohol, nothing wild. Yet staff interrogated a 13-year-old and asked if she was drunk and then hovered outside the room like they were waiting to catch them doing something. They never called any of the adults responsible for the room. Later, the resort tried to cover it with a fake narrative about “unattended minors” and “underage drinking.” That never happened. If they had any proof, they’d show camera footage. They didn’t—because there isn’t any. Then the General Manager singled out the only Jamaican guest in our group and accused him of giving alcohol to the kids, even though he wasn’t even there the night of the alleged incident. No evidence, no apology, just arrogance and then total silence from “customer care” when complaints were filed. If you’re booking a milestone trip or traveling with teens, think twice. AVA Cancun will take your money, invent accusations, target your group, and then ignore you when you demand accountability.

I stayed at AVA Cancun with my wife as part of a large group for a close friend’s 50th birthday. Given the Hard Rock brand, I expected professionalism and good judgment. What we experienced instead was neither. One evening, while the adults were, resort staff and security went to my friend’s suite and treated a group of teens and young adults including my sons like they were doing something wrong, despite the fact they were simply in the room with room service. No effort was made to reach the parents before staff started questioning the kids and later filing a report that implied underage drinking and “unattended minors” — a version of events that does not match what actually happened. The situation was then compounded by unfounded accusations toward a member of our group just because he was a Jamaican. Despite the number of complaints that we filed, no one came back and addressed or resolved anything from a large, well-known resort, I expected better judgment, better communication, and more accountability.

This is a beautiful, very modern resort. The rooms are spacious and the service at all restaurants is superb. QThe food is very good at most restaurants- they have a large variety to choose from, including two adult only restaurants. The beach is not great but the pools are very nice. There is a pool just for members which has spectacular service. My only complaint is that there is always trash in the hallways that the housekeepers ignore. The same trash stayed for days until I finally picked it up. I do not understand how the employees can just walk by it and ignore it. But everything g else was excellent. Highly recommend

The resort is beautiful. Restaurants are incredible. Especially the French resturant Ches Moi the best meal of our trip. Pools are beautiful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Room service is great and a good selection of options. Our Butler Norma was by far the best butler we have had in the last couple of years! Spa was very nice. The Gym was one of the best of all the properties we have stayed at.

Ava Resort was exceptional ! We were here in June and noticed MUCH improvement since then. Can’t wait to return. The staff is a 10 throughout the resort. DO go see the magic show !!!! Amazing !!! As for a favorite bar I suggest The Cocktail Bar. Jonathan, Christian, Angel, Colli and Miguel are the BEST !!! Our favorite restaurant was the new steak house The Butcher. Honestly, can’t go wrong at any of the restaurants though.

Wet family bar was excellent with Porfirio, and Rafael they were excellent in our needs. Rooms shower had a little bit of water over flowing because of drainage was backed up. Sliding door to the bathroom was hard to open and close at time but they were very fast to fix everything but overall this hotel was very clean would recommend to anyone
