Ava Resort Cancun - All Inclusive

We had an amazing vacation here. Great food and portions. We had an incredible Concierge named Israel. Our favorite bartender was at the adult pool Diego. Our favorite pool server was at the aquatico pool Ferit. If you get overwhelmed picking between a ton of resorts choose this one.

2nd visit to AVA this year! Can’t say enough good about this property. This time around we opted for a suite and it came with a personal assistant. Our personal assistant (Rodrigo A.) was nothing short of amazing. He made our time here very relaxing and took care of us every step of the way! We will be returning very soon!

We stayed at the Ava in June. We are a family of three (one 8yo) The stay was ok. Some good and some really not so before considering a come back we emailed about our concerns: 1. The ladies at the kids club are really rigid and the policy of the kids club tailored at nickel-and dime-ing 2. If you're not a member, you are "second class" To elaborate some more: Our 8yo loves video games but the ladies at the kids club would not allow him to play unless we pay for babysitting. We were also told by Paola (through a long email filled with "British" unfortunatelys) and Adnan (through a very nice phone call that was a "flight going nowhere") how it is their policy not to leave the kids unsupervised. My pleas that the kids club is supervised and that no adults are allowed in and that the entrance is always attended fell on deaf ears. There are also very weird times of "family time" where parents MUST accompany their kids at the kids club. While considering being returning guests, if you're not a member you will still be second class and pay more to use your $1000 "credit" - 35% in comparison to 25% but that is not all - even when we emailed well in advance and wanted to make reservations to the restaurants a week prior to our arrival we were still second class and found only difficult reservation times for a family to the steakhouse for example. Lo and behold, when making a booking for next summer elsewhere and with the bad experience we had at Ava when I share our experience at the kids club we were emailed right back that kids club is fully supervised and no parents' presence is needed. Ava Resorts was overall great! My husband and I have stayed at several other resorts in Cancun and Cabo—including Hard Rock and Le Blanc—and this one definitely held its own. We had a really good time, but there were a few things to note. First, the hallway doors slam pretty loudly, which wasn’t ideal since we were traveling with kids. Second, make sure to book your dinner reservations well in advance. We learned this the hard way—everything was always booked up. Some families even call thirty days ahead, which is a bit crazy. One time, a staff member confirmed our reservation, but when we arrived at the restaurant, it wasn’t in the system at all. That was frustrating, and the staff didn’t do much to acknowledge the inconvenience besides saying sorry. The resort is huge—almost like walking through a shopping mall. Also, be prepared for staff approaching you to sell presentations; we just firmly said no. All that said, we had a wonderful time and made great memories. It’s a perfect place for kids. Our room was fantastic, and the kids loved having their own separate space. The kids club was great, too. Needs some more attention to details. Le blanc and hard rock was on point always and if something went wrong their fixed immediately.

Teens club is hella fun. Best experience in my life for making new friends and games. Efrain, one of the teen clubs workers, is the best man to help others.

The teens club is very fun and we did a lot of activities and there very nice friendly and overall the place is very fun!😁The staffs are very cool especially Efrain and lucero and santiago and shirley their service is very good.
