Benson House & Benson Lodge

Very comfortable and beautifully presented motel style room attached to a private home. The lodge has private access, EV charging (either wall plug or small five-pin plug) is available, and the hosts are helpful and friendly. The room is well equipped, with air conditioning, easily accessible PowerPoints for charging, and has a comfortable bed with good pillows. A continental breakfast is also included with a range of options, and a vase of fresh roses was an added touch.

Perfect stopover on the trip to Melbourne. Pub, pizza and fish shops just a couple of hundred meters away. The Benalla art gallery is worth a visit. We stayed in the Lodge. Very comfortable. Appreciated muffins for breakfast. Best thing was the ability to charge our EV.

If you're travelling and stopping in Benalla then this place is a little gem of a find. The room was perfectly fitted out, super clean and cosy, the bed was amazing and all linen high quality. For me as a business traveller the best things was it was quiet (lovely old tree-lined street) and the room was dark overnight (no street lights contamination) for an uninterrupted sound sleep. Magic!! In addition there was a lovely little continental breakfast available with crumpets, cereals and coffee. Ray was the consummate host, available promptly when required and he did me a massive favour while I was there without a blink. Thank you Ray for a fantastic stay, I'd had a rough couple of days so it was a little oasis for the night. I will be recommending my employer makes you our new Benalla favourite!
