Hotel in zona T.J. Maxx, Bellingham

Hotel was on the nicer side for a Four Points and well located (walking distance from downtown). The complimentary breakfast for titanium was better than expected and the bar and fire pits were a good respite. Gym was very minimal and there was some missing/broken equipment. My biggest gripe was internet. Don’t even consider staying here if you need reliable Wi-Fi. I had to do a little work while there and it was a nightmare. Half of the time I couldn’t connect at all, when I could connect it was painfully slow and often dropped me in the middle of meetings. I called the front desk a few times for assistance but got the impression that it was just a known fact that the Wi-Fi was bad and nobody was doing much to address it. Very very frustrating situation to deal with in 2023.

I had booked a couple treatments at the Spa, which I had saved up gift cards from the last 3 years. I booked over the phone because I wanted a recommendation of what massage to get for back and neck pain. I unfortunately went with their recommendation which was not a massage at all. I'm not going to say which treatment it was, because it's not the employees fault, it was simply not what I was needing or asked for. I was completely mislead in choosing a treatment. And for someone who does this *maybe* once every couple years, I am beyond disappointed. I spoke to the receptionist as I was checking out. When she asked how my service was I was honest but there wasn't any mention of resolution. The response was ”I'm so sorry, your total is..”. There were a few people behind me so I checked out and left because I didn't want to hold up the line. I emailed the chrysalis after my appointment, explaining the situation and asking for a refund for the 90 minute service. They messaged back unapologetically and offered 30 minutes of a massage. I then asked if I could get a 30 minute refund instead and I never got a response. I've emailed them twice since and have received nothing. I've gone here once every few years since I was a teenager, and have recommended it to my family and friends. But I will now be telling all of them not to come to the chrysalis because the customer service in management is terrible. There are other great spas and professionals in the area, I'd recommend everyone to go somewhere else. Super lame chrysalis
