First of all Chapeau to the young couple whom own and manage the property . They are welcoming , attentive , and curtious . The old historical Building is well kept and the attention to Detail to the interior is cozy and stylish. They have managed to create a relaxed atmosphere with niveau. The room which was a large Deluxe room was spacious , has a very comfortable bed with excellent bed sheets and spotless clean. The cuisine is elevated does not achieve Michelin level which suits the property and the breakfast is highlight of local products . Overall a very pleasant experience .

The staff is so warm and friendly upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable. And the room was well appointed. The food was absolutely delicious. We had a fabulous dinner and buffet breakfast each morning. We went for a wedding celebration and went the night before just to enjoy ourselves. So glad we did. There are some rooms where you can go to read or have tea or a cocktail. It was perfect.

My wife and I stayed at the Château for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff is charming, the food (both breakfast and dinner) was great and the hotel room was cozy. With Avenches and Morat just around the corner, there's plenty to see on a weekend. Plus: With the bus stop right around the corner it's also really easily accessible by public transport. We are looking forward to coming back some time during the warmer months of the year and enjoying the culinary part of the stay outside in the beautiful garden.

We have stayed for one night in a superior room, which was super lovely and neat. Having a homemade welcome-cake in the room was a great positive surprise. In the evening we had dinner by chosing the seasonal Menu. The food was all outsourced locally and the taste and quality were outstanding! Big bravo to the Chef as well as for the three owners Neila, Flavio and Maurits! We’ll be coming back soon

Just a really wonderful experience, from the hearty welcome to the dinner under a starlit sky like in southern France to the very cosy room. And not to speak of the great breakfast buffet. We'll definitely be back!!!

We had a very enjoyable time during our stay at this place. The managing team is excellent and making sure that you stay is comfortable. The room we had was modern and functionable. In short - nothing fancy but quite comfortable. The restaurant offers excellent food but in the upper end from a price standpoint. I believe that the management team has decided to focus more on short stay and gastronomic cuisine than guest spending a week for relaxation. If you were to stay several nights the menu could offer more options im the mid-range price. Local products and quality are clearly a priority and much appreciated at our end.

Some months ago, my husband and myself, we have decided to go back to the Chateau Salavaux. We were clients since many years and we loved the cuisine and kindness of the old owners. When we arrived we have noticed the changes in the decor of the rooms and the addition of electric bikes for the guests and we have considered these changes very positive. What we did not appreciate was the food that was served as it was not up to our gastronomic standards and obviously overpriced. Moreover the lady that served us was all but kind. Overall a disappointing experience. I hope they will modify their dining options and quality as well as a re-training of the personnel.

We stumbled upon this magnificent hidden gem while traveling from Lausanne to Zurich. This storybook chateau and its lovely owners were so welcoming and accommodating-they offered a historic room and added a bed for our son. They welcomed us without reservations to one of the best dinners we have had in our travels. The seasonal menu highlighted local cuisine and farm fresh ingredients- our favorites were the scallop carpaccio and truffle risotto. They went out of their way to bring gluten free bread to accompany the homemade chili butter. The wine was amazing, the food exquisite, but the hospitality was what truly makes this place a treasure. The grounds are enchanting for an evening stroll or a morning walk or after a bountiful breakfast with offerings like farm inspired omelettes and fresh croissants. Don’t miss this absolutely wonderful, historic, and perfect taste of Switzerland!!!!

Très bel endroit pour découvrir la région . Le service est impeccable et la table gastronomique est très raffinée avec des produits locaux et parfaitement élaborés . Le personnel est au petit soin pour que vous vous sentiez bien et passiez un bon moment
