A very nice and quiet place for a relaxing vacation. There can be a maximum of 30 guests on the island, there is no crowd. There are 10 bungalows that are very nicely furnished. You can choose to eat on the terrace of your bungalow or in the restaurant. For each meal, you choose one of the 2-3 dishes offered. Everyone tries to please you, they are always ready to help. Special thanks to Veronica. There are many kinds of birds on the island, it's nice when you wake up in the morning with their chirping. The sunsets are beautiful.

We did the same. We read all the reviews. Let me save you some time. If you like adventures in paradise, Book Shaka Caye! We had nothing short of a great experience! Looking back at the bad reviews, they truly baffle us. The villa was clean, bed was comfortable and room had all the amenities you need. The food was 5 star, everything from breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon snack, ALL good and made with fresh ingredients. We paid extra for some of the excursions, and we highly recommend you do the same. We swam with the sharks and sting rays, fed tarpon, saw sea horses, went cave tubing, and deep sea fishing - All amazing adventures! We met some great people on this island, other guests and staff alike. Kudos to the owner and manager of this island who employ some of the best staff in the business, every staff member was attentive and kind. They genuinely want you to have a great experience and they succeeded with us. Big shout out and huge thank you to the staff while we were there: Veronica, Daisy, Andre, Percy, Roddy, Tiffara, Henry, Jose, Michael, Mark and Joey. Thank you for a memorable trip to paradise!

My husband, teens and I had a wonderful time at Shaka Key. The shinning stars are the staff. From Veronica (guest service manager) to Jose (chef) and Andre and Edwin (boat captains). The island is gorgeous and calm, food is delicious and tours made every day really special. One of the highlights of every day was going to the restaurant and getting such polite service from Percy, Rady and Michael. Such nice gentleman. Thank you all!

This place is heaven on earth. The staff are so amazing and will help you with anything you need. Captain Andre, bartender Raddy, chef Jose, Glenis, Veronica, Percy, Edwin and many others made this trip so special and memorable for years to come. Ask Captain Andre to show you Beast of the Reef. Shaka Caye delivered on everything they advertised and a whole lot more. We were looking for a quiet holiday, so the limited number of rooms sounded ideal. Upon arrival, we discovered there were only two other couples on the island during our stay. We spent our days reading on the beach and Veronica coordinated two fabulous excursions. Abner took us to visit the Altun Ha archaeological site, and Captain Edwin knew right where to take us for a half-day fishing for snapper, yellowfin and porgy. I'm a lousy angler, but Edwin made it fun and successful. We knew the food would be good, but Chef Jose took our meals to a higher-level, incorporating traditional Belizean foods into an elegant offering, as well as preparing a fish feast with what we caught on our excursion. The bar is the center of activity, so Obie and Roddy took great care to make tasty and refreshing cocktails while providing the commentary and recommendations only good bartenders know how to do well. Other staffers like Percy in the dining room, Captains Andre and Mark, even Gerson the restaurant intern made us feel perfectly at ease, always greeting with a smile and quickly answering our requests. We could not have asked for more in a tropical escape.

The best private island experience. The staff and service here were incredible. This all inclusive resort gave us the vacation of a lifetime for a great price. They offer additional tours like snorkeling the mesoamerican barrier reef, cave tubing, boat rides to neighboring islands for shopping and much more. All 3 meals can be delivered directly to your cottage for no additional costs. And speaking of food; everything was fresh and delicious. Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure your vacation is spectacular

We just returned from one of the best, if not the best, vacations ever! If you want to go on a vacation where you and your significant other can spend quality time and embrace Mother Nature, this is your place! The Shaka Caye Staff catered to our every need! We want to give a special shout-out to Mrs. Glenda for running a fantastic staff, Ms. Veronica for coordinating all our needs and excursions from start to finish, Edwin & Andrew for the fishing and Marine life experience, Percy for creating incredible drinks and keeping them coming, Henry for putting together masterpieces of dishes and last but not least Brenda for keeping those pillows fluffed when we got back. We look forward to returning. Thank you for a phenomenal trip!

We absolutely loved our time at Shaka Caye!! Highlights of the trip include: - the staff: everyone was incredibly friendly, personable, helpful, kind, and thoughtful. They are each amazing at their jobs and they made our trip so special. Shout out to Veronica, Percy, Andre, Roddy, Obie, everyone! - the food: chef prepared and local food, everything was so delicious!!! Drinks were also delicious. No complaints here whatsoever - views: water was pristine and clear, ideal, sand was clean, we got to see dolphins, starfish, a manatee, and a huge iguana! The perfect place to lay around and do nothing or swim in perfect water. - activities: we did the deep tissue massage and the sunset cruise and loved both. We lucked out with an amazing sunset! Overall we loved it more than we expected to, I already want to come back asap!!
