Wyndham San Jose Herradura Hotel & Convention Center

We were prepared when booking this hotel from existing reviews by others. What happened turns out disappointing. The room on 2000 series on second floor seems an old unit, no shower floor towel, bath tub a bit old but functional, no fridge and so on. We were prepared for all that considering the price and location. At bed time, we found two bugs on bed linen but dusted them off. It's tropical atmosphere, what one expect! The next morning after breakfast, however, I found a few more on my bed. I pulled out a one of my credit card and killed a few. When pulled up my bed cover further, more showed up ...... See the bug in the video clip. I called front desk who sent a room services personnel to look at it. The personnel seems surprised to see the bugs as well. The front desk lady was nice and quick to act and changed my room to the room on 6000 series and okay with us. I requested to talk to their manager. Once back in late afternoon that day, I approached frondesk rep who went to backroom to fetch for the manager. The manager showed up in a while and apologized lightly, and started to push back by saying it's tropical weather here,bugs are normal, and many more. I told him that the room is infested too bad and need a thoughrou cleaning to eradicate the infestation. The manage then went on to explaining the same. I feel disappointed. For this hotel, I do not recommend this hotel until they do a good job. Or if you do like us, not exactly though, do make sure to ask the right question to avoid such a room. Good luck next time.

The most unorganised hotel I have ever been to. Check in is from 3pm and so we arrived at 4pm to be greeted to a huge queue of people unable to get their room as none of the cleaning was completed. Reception told us it would take 30 mins to get a room which was a complete lie. We kept going up and checking and they kept saying another 10 minutes which carried on for 2.5 hours at which time we only received the key to 1/4 rooms I had booked. Other guests we spoke to waited over 4 hours for their room key. We were given one soft drink as a concession for this which I thought was unacceptable. Instead of waiting around to be told further fake waiting times, we left the hotel to go back to town and then on returning at 11pm, the new receptionist had no idea about the issue and struggled to find our other rooms we had been waiting for, resulting in more waiting around after already being frustrated about the situation earlier. Eventually the receptionist from earlier appeared in a very dismissive manner and shoved a post it note with our remaining room numbers for the man to find. Not good service at all. The next day we booked a shuttle bus to the airport. We got to the designated spot and they had run out of room on the bus despite us pre booking. This means we had to wait another 30 mins for a bus to be organised resulting in us having less time at the airport to get through security etc. The actual hotel is fine with a nice pool area (one of the reasons we had booked but were unable to use due to no room access for hours on end) but the management of this hotel is atrocious. Wyndham need to look at this urgently as it is dragging down their name as a trusted hotel chain. I will never be staying at a Wyndham again if they can’t guarantee a stress free experience.

When I first arrived at the hotel, and checked in the older lady, who could barely speak, was very rude after receiving my room key, it was on the third floor, and the elevators did not work, so I had to carry my heavy luggage after having a shoulder surgery up to the third floor When I got to my room, there was a weird smell. Also, there was no towels, no toilet paper and no hand soap in the room went to the front desk and there was no indication on the phone for the front desk. I tried every button, nobody picked up so I had to walk all the way back down to the front desk only received a towel And later they brought me toilet paper but no soap I’ve stayed at this property many times and will never ever go back. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to any travelers do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Stayed just one night before flying out. Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, close to the airport and great shuttle service. Not sure if it was staff or other guest's, but we could hear doors opening and closing in the middle of the night. Tried to eat at the restaurant, Quattro, but once seated, we waited for a while and no one came to the table to even get our drink order even though there were literally only 3 other tables at the time, so we ended up leaving. The breakfast was really good, not included for us, but apparently that depends on the reservation, and was a reasonable $15 for all you can eat. If you are looking for a good place to stay close to the airport, this is a good option.

We chose this Wyndam for convenience to the San Jose International Airport and an early flight the next morning. We made our reservation through ******* and got a very good rate. This is a very large property with several buildings some older. We were guaranteed a King bed through our reservation. We were granted a beautiful King Suite in one of the older buildings, featuring a jacuzzi tub, a sitting room with a TV and roomy bedroom with TV. The decor was updated but the bathroom was a bit dated which was fine with us. All very clean, fresh, and comfortable. We received a complimentary dessert, Key Lime Chiffon, delivered to our room. We would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed the pool area, bar service, and lounge chairs.

Its supposed to be a nicely kept hotel but our room had a bad smell. We got to reportrd after two days since no hotel directions to call reception. Not too good in clean pool.

Pictures and entrance were amazing and clean, but once reaching the room, the room was musty, beds were terribly uncomfortable, the bathroom smelled like urine and feces. Upon inspecting the room, we found a large vomit or mold stain on the carpet, and decided to leave the hotel immediately to venture somewhere else. Cheap hotel, but you get what you pay for.

Great stay. Room was clean and spacious. Shower and ac worked great. Very close to SJO airport so super convenient. Would stay again easily.

Beautiful property from the parking lot and foyer, but the room was quite dated. Staff were fairly friendly, but did not go out their way to assist. Met our needs after a long day of travel, but would not suffice as a destination.
