Its an incredible place with an incredible environment. People and the boss they care about you you feel here kot like a worker, more like a person. I was hired without experience in serving. They helped me and treated me very well. Workers are chosen very carefully and its a nice place to stay. Everything clean and tidy. Thanks for everything

Friendly little hotel in great location for hiking. Accessible with public transport and able to arrive by bus and leave by boat and continue journey. Excellent breakfast and 3 course dinners. Cater for vegetarian’s really well. Fabulous soups! Great sauna and comfy lounge area. Sit on the deck for waffles or afternoon drink. Really friendly staff. They couldn’t have been better.

This hotel is very beautiful and the staff is attentive. The rooms are nice and we had all we need for our vacation. The food is excellent and we will for sure consider to come back for hiking in the summer. It can easily be reached by car - 4 hours from Oslo.

We were here two nights for a wedding. The service was great, the beds comfortable and the food was delicious. Breakfast had a nice variety of spreds, fresh bread, porridge and scrambled eggs and bacon. The room was nice, we stayed in a double room with a bathroom.

I needed to travel by train/bus from Oslo to Bygdin, but since storm Hans just passed through a few days ago the trip was a little bit difficult. Trains and busses were delayed or cancelled so I missed the last bus to Bygdin. When I called the hotel to ask if they knew if I could take a cab from Beitostølen (that was as far I could get by train and bus) to Bygdin, they said that they would pick me up at the bus stop in Beitostølen! And so they did, when I arrived they were already waiting for me and although I was actually even too late for dinner, they kept a plate aside for me so I could still have something to eat! They really take care of their guests. All this together with the lovely setting of the rooms and hotel itself made me feel really welcome, warm and safe ☺️, thanks again!!

Fab stay in a beautiful place for hundreds of gorgeous hikes in the mountains. The hotel staff was very helpful and service minded and the gourmet dinner are highly recommended 🤩 Great rooms and beds also……………………………………………………………………………. 😁

What a delightful place to stay with wonderful staff. We stayed here for six nights in a double room with ensuite and found the room spacious and well appointed. The food was creative and plentiful and the cafe and lounge areas were packed with interesting historical pieces and comfortable tables and lounges. The local bus going both ways stops right at the front door and you can walk to the little MV Bitihorn ferry and the start of many of the walks. But really the highlight were the staff and especially Sophie in the restaurant who could not be more knowledgeable, polite , humorous and confident. We learnt so much about the history and culture of Norway from her and found all the staff to be helpful including the lovely lady from Warsaw who was eager to help above and beyond being a room maid

The location and atmosphere of the establishment are fantastic. Immediate access to great hiking, scenic vista right from the deck, and friendly staff. Food for breakfast and dinner was great, and we availed ourselves of the option to pack a lunch for the hike. Our stay was 3-nights, would have been happy to stay longer.

We loved the Bygdin It is Isolated and stands between the mountains, very much in touch with the nature around it. The decoration is old and beautiful and the atmosphere is wonderful. It is clean. The staff is especially nice and helpful. Dinner was great.
