Premier Inn Bedford (Priory Marina)

The first impression of the hotel wasn’t good and on entering there was such an offensive smell it was so bad that I had to mention it to the staff but they were like ‘ we can’t smell anything’ I even asked if they had any air fresheners to spray around but that was ignored!!!!! Secondly the bathroom was dirty the bathtub had hair so I had to wash it down before I used it and the taps were disgusting !!!! I’ve never been to a hotel which has so many problems!!!

With Premier Inn, you know what you are getting. But at Bedford Priory you get a bit extra. The guy at check in was very friendly and smiley, which makes you feel welcome. Angela at the front desk was extremely helpful when I thought I'd left something in the room and called when I got home. Angela even went to the room and checked herself. Thank you Angela.

I made a mistake on my booking date and contacted the hotel. They could not have been more helpful telling me how to go on the website and change it. The website was busy so they checked it for me and when I had changed it they came back to make sure I was satisfied. The receptionist last night 22.11 was super helpful and helped with my luggage and also checked the room was satisfactory. Then this morning the receptionist again checked that I had a good nights sleep etc. I am very impressed with excellent customer service - Thankyou.

Everything is a positive about the Premier. Easy to get to with lots of free parking. Beautiful surroundings next to a massive lake full of wildlife and a perimeter walk of approx 1.3 miles on a proper path. Rivers and canals in very close walking distance. Three different amazing river side path walks into Bedford which was about 1.8 miles. Bedford waterways are just stunning with all the wild life. Hotel: First class staff on reception, very friendly and helpful. Good size rooms. Very comfortable bed with a selection of pillows. Good shower with instant hot water, which can be rare! (Although the bathrooms are a little tied!) Tea and coffee in room with extra available in the reception. TV of course, but owing to the area you won’t need it! Beefeater next door with nice surroundings and great staff offering well cooked food. The option of a meal deal, which we used and thought was excellent value. Would we stay here again, absolutely, excellent value for the money.

Lovely stay and slept extremely well. Staff were helpful and friendly Perfect for what we needed. We needed some extra bits in the room and the staff dealt with our requests straight away. We had dinner at the restaurant and I couldn’t fault anything

We had booked into a b and b that we booked months ago for the night after our wedding which looked lovely online but on arrival we wanted to leave straight away so with not many options we booked the premier inn. Didn’t really know what to expect but I would go back time and time again. The receptionist Fez went above and beyond to make our stay special, gave us a bottle of Prosecco and then came to the room with two champagne glasses. We booked a table at the beefeater next door and he even told them about our recent marriage so got more Prosecco in there. Perfect. Thank you 😌
