The Bull and Townhouse, Beaumaris- the Inn Collection Group

Great room, beautiful hotel bar & restaurant. Drinks were great & service very good. Food wasn't quite as good. Several things missing on the menu over both nights & one of our meals was below par. However, I enjoyed everything enough, that I will definitely return.

Chose this hotel due to its location, previous excellent experiences of Inn Collection stays at other hotels and took advantage of the winter break offer. Not disappointed. Interesting old building with traditional bar area with open fire, an unusual dining room with rich furnishings and the more airy back area. Very pleasant staff, great breakfasts and a good and varied evening menu at sensible prices. Loathe to make any real criticism but would only say perhaps a little more ambience in the front dining room ( background music?). Overall great visit and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we were looking at another visit to the area.

The room was lovely other than you had to climb into the bath to close the blind which was overlooked by the restaurant so a must if you wanted to keep any dignity. We had dinner in said restaurant but was very disappointed with the set up and the food. It’s a four star!!! Should you be having to order from the bar?? When it did arrive it was very average. Back to the room. The shower in is almost impossible to use if you are over five foot tall. ( I’m 6’1. The Mrs isn’t ). Then lights out and TV off. Wow. The noise from some kind of motor is then all you can hear. Constantly on and off all night!! Neither of us slept well. We have stayed in other rooms before and not had this problem so I would definitely avoid the indigo room!!! Overall we were a bit disappointed as we have always loved the place but hadn’t eaten there before or had the a room with a motor room nearby. Made us a little reluctant to return
