Chateau la Bainerie

Château De La Bainerie is a fantastic 16th century that you can stay in as a base for nearby Angers, as we did. The rooms are huge and stately and the chateau's delightful rural isolation set on a hill within wonderful varied grounds is quite the experience. We were allocated the Kinds Suite which is massive. The bathroom was rather nice. Owner Dan and his mum Branka run the operation and are wonderful hospitable hosts. Branka's breakfasts are worth the price of admission alone. The room tariff is extremely reasonable and offers everybody the affordable opportunity to stay in a chateau at least once in their life.

It's an unique castle full of character, unpretentious, relaxed and close to cute Angers, full of gastronomic choices and the capital of Chenin Blanc, the iconic region white grape. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfy and the starry nights in silence are perfect for disconnection. Service was friendly and discreet. It was my base for a work wine trip and I will definitely come back.

We loved the Chateau We absolutely loved our stay at the Chateau. It’s located in the most idyllic setting, so peaceful surrounded by gorgeous countryside, and the chateau itself is wonderful. There was a breakfast spread laid out in the morning too. Couldn’t recommend more.

Princess Room Chateau is beautiful and in a very peaceful spot. I would describe it as 'shabby chic' as there are areas where money could be spent. However it is lovely and features such as the sweeping staircase, chandelier's and furniture look gorgeous. Town is only 4 miles away with a range of restaurants. Continental breakfast was great and plentiful. Only met 1 member of staff at breakfast but she was lovely and gave us some of the history of the chateau. Another English couple were staying in Kings Room and showed us around. Will book that room next time, if possible! Would definitely come back.

We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer. The manager was helpful and friendly the room was great and the property was amazing we had the place to ourselves so that made it even more speical

Our stay at La Bainerie was the highlight of our recent trip to France. We travelled as a family of three, including a toddler, and met friends for a weekend away. The chateau is beautiful with spacious and comfortable rooms. Our room's large windows looked out onto rolling hills with trees and farm fields. We really enjoyed the idyllic and wild grounds around the chateau for walks, runs, and space for our toddler to play. Exploring the surrounding countryside, towns, châteaux, and vineyards was also particularly enjoyable.

My family had a great stay in this lovely chateau, well appointed rooms, helpful staff, lots to do for daytime outings in the area. Great breakfasts, pretty easy to reach by train though car is a little more convenient. Also a nice area for cycling!

The Château is a magical space located in the beautiful Loire Valley. One can really feel the history of the people that have walked its halls. The building itself is impressive, the rooms are lovely and comfortable. What I loved the most was the stunning old growth trees, exploring the property and the views of the valley. A quick drive to the nearest shop, train station and local vineyards, it is well nestled in countryside paradise. Very tranquil and a great spot for a break away from my city life.
