Our stay at Uga Bay was unfortunately marred by a significant payment issue. We were charged twice, which not only took funds away that could have been used during our holiday but also required us to spend a considerable amount of time proving that the payments were taken from our account. This resulted in us spending time on the phone and messaging the hotel, which was not the best start to our stay. This experience was a source of great disappointment and affected our mood, lingering throughout our stay at Uga Bay. Despite these issues, the overall experience was pleasant, with a clean environment and beautiful surroundings. The hotel is fantastic, situated right on a private beach with a large pool and beautiful ocean views. We felt very secure with guards at all entry points, including the beach. The room, located on the first floor with a sea view, was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a la carte, which felt limited, but the waiter, Munas, ensured we were satisfied, offering additional options. Although the lunch and dinner menu was limited, the staff was attentive and accommodating. However, prices in the restaurant and minibar were quite high, with the minibar prices being particularly excessive (i.e. a small beer can $6 + 10% service + VAT, or cioccolate bar $10+...). Overall, a good stay with room for improvement in the pricing and payment process.
