This was our third stay at Eco Lodge. As in the past, it was great. We were in the Soup Bowl studio this time and it was lovely. Big living room, well equipped kitchen, and a lovely kingsize bed. Being vegans, it was great to have several options to choose from both for breakfasts and dinners. Loved the pancakes! The staff at Eco Lodge are always terrific. If you are looking for a place to chill and enjoy nature at it's best, this is a very good choice.

We chose Eco Lifestyle and Lodge in Bathsheba. We prefer boutique hotels. I am also a yoga and mindfulness teacher and wanted to scout the property for my concierge packages. The property is situated on a gorgeous parcel of land with stunning views of the sea. We heard the roaring waves all week. It was a natural white noise machine. The landscape features hammocks, shady areas with adult swings, a yoga and dining platform and three salt water pools to dip and refresh. There are stairs leading to Tent Bay where one can hike the coast, walk to Atlantis Hotel for De Garage for a meal. You can walk up the hill to Zemi for a bit or continue along the coast. Eco has a fabulous restaurant that fed us well. They serve healthy but delicious food. Rhys, the head chef, cared for our needs. The service was flawless Hats off to Ria and all of the serves. The restaurant sources local produce and fish. They serve Wyndham Coffee. Our meal included breakfast daily which was fabulous. Plating was artful and options were healthy and tasty. The highlight was a breakfast Roti wrap. I loved the fresh local juices including seasonal Sorrel. We chose Soup Bowl, a massive one bedroom king suite with a large kitchen, huge bath with jet tub, a massive deck with stunning views and chairs and hammock to enjoy the views. I cannot say enough about the experience. My daughter and I spend 5 incredible nights at Eco. We loved the area and would highly recommend a split stay. A special thanks to Sea Cat, the groundsman who cut us fresh coconut and taught me how to pick sea parslane. They use this tasty beach vegetation for a tempura app. It was lovely.

On the east side of Barbados overlooking Bathsheba is the Eco Lodge. The beautiful grounds overlook the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Stunning views from wherever you are on the grounds, especially from the breakfast/dinner room. For the price the rooms seem a little basic, but were adequate and clean. Staff were friendly but asking for extra coffee at breakfast incurred a charge, and we were chased as we left breakfast to settle it, even though we were staying a further 5 nights. This topped with the staff constantly pushing us to eat there for dinner, did tarnish our experience. Enjoyed walking down to the beach in the mornings and following the coastal paths back to Bathsheba or around to Bath Beach. Loved the fact the location is definitely less touristy than other parts of the island, so ensured we frequented the local bars and places to eat where we were welcome and plied with lots of rum punch 😀

I enjoyed 3nights at ECO and LOVED it!! I was travelling on my own and wanted somewhere relaxing on the East Coast and this was perfect. The hotel itself is beautiful and the scenery is STUNNING! Would recommend this to anyone who would like a few days of peace and relaxation when in Barbados.

My wife and I recently spent 4 nights at ECO and we loved it. After 5 days on the west coast, we really appreciated the slower pace on the east coast....reminded us of more old school Caribbean. Great hiking trail to Bath Beach, then reward yourself in the waterfall pools with a rum punch. Beautiful garden just up the road as well. Lastly, a shout-out to the wonderful staff. Karen really took care of us at breakfast and dinner and the food was delicious! See you next year Kyle! Doug and Petal Cooper

Our stay at the ECO lodge was lovely. It was a peaceful, calming place, with beautiful grounds and views over the wild east coast. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was interesting and delicious. We also enjoyed the surrounding area. We walked in both directions along the coast and lay in the rock pools at low tide. we really enjoyed the Andromeda gardens and had lovely homemade French pastries in the garden cafe. We would love to stay here again when we next visit Barbados.

Eco lifestyle and lodge is off the beaten track. It’s situated beautifully near the soup bowl and is surrounded by a number of restaurants within walking distance. The on-site restaurant is excellent with top notch food and cocktails. The room was a bit more rustic than anticipated (we didn’t have hot water throughout the stay, but they did try to rectify the situation, the curtains, bathroom and kitchen had some war and tear) but large and comfortable. The vibe is very chill, quiet and relaxed. It’s a bit out of the way, which is a pro for some and a con for others. I really liked it but my husband felt is lacked sufficient creature comforts (e.g., access to an onsite restaurant open through the day) so it becomes a matter of preference.

Well….. it lived up to expectations. It’s in a beautiful spot, the rooms are lovely, the food is amazing and the best bit, the staff, make you feel like you are the only person in the world. If you are temped to stay on the windward side then this is the place to be. There are some really interesting places to eat nearby too from local to gourmet. Do it!!

Eco Lifestyle Lodge is a really beautiful place to stay, the room was decorated to a high standard and was really relaxing, it had great amenities too. A wonderful setting in Bathsheba and lovely staff! The food at the restaurant was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.
