With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. The bright, airy rooms all feature a TV, free tea and coffee, and a radio. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hairdryer, and enjoy views of the hotel grounds or the fells beyond. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The AA-Rosette awarded Coach House Restaurant serves an à la carte menu featuring the finest, locally sourced ingredients and daily specials. The less formal surroundings of the Stable Bar Bistro offer favourites, such as fish and chips, chef's homemade pie of the day, and at least 2 further options, including vegetarian dishes. For walkers, Ravenstone Lodge is at the start of some of the best Skiddaw walks, as well as being just 1 mile from the many walks around Dodd Wood. We had a wonderful stay at Ravenstone Lodge. The service from Brett and the other staff went above and beyond. They couldn't have done more to make us comfortable. The views from the hotel are spectacular. The food was fine dining. There is an extensive wine list and Brett's gin was very good. Hope to return in the not to distant future.

Comfortable room which was nice and warm on a very cold day. Ate in the stables restaurant and I had a different meal to my wife I left some of it because it wasn’t very nice 6-7 hours later I was awoken by gripping stomach pains and rushed to the toilet. I mentioned to the staff the next morning that I though I had suffered food poisoning however they did not seem very interested and insisted that it was other food than theirs but their restaurant was the only place I had eaten something different to my wife. I could not face breakfast that morning and instead of an arranged outing we travelled straight home. In all the years visiting the Lake District I have never had food poisoning or been treated by the hotel staff with such distain. I believe that this hotel is owned by a group who own a number of hotels in the area. I will not be returning to any of them.

An amazing time and staff were amazing too. Breakfast included had a great range of items of cold and hot breakfasts. Rooms were clean and spacious with everything needed for a stay. Brilliant stay will 100% be staying here agai. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We stayed at this hotel 11th and 12th November 2024, and was very pleased with everything. The hotel manager Brett was very welcoming, he went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed and more. The food was expertly cooked and presented by the chef Andy, well deserved rosette award. Jimmy was a new starter and seems to be a natural for his role at the hotel. The whole experience was amazing and we felt relaxed and at ease. We will definitely recommend and hope to return at some point. Thanks guys for everything, big shout out to Brett.

Cozy rooms, relaxing atmosphere, delicious breakfast, stunning views, attentive staff, everything was perfect. It was great to have a bath after long days walking and sit by a fire in the evening. Complimentary electric cars charging, lots of brochures/info for local walks. The location is just stunning. It truly felt like home and I can’t recommend this place enough. Special Thank you to Brett, you have really made our stay.

Lovely warm welcome from our host over two days. Bret was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the food also exceptional. Wish we’d had longer there, and definitely worth returning. 10/10. Breakfast was a good selection and perfectly cooked and prepared. Room had all that we needed and we stayed in a classic room bed very comfortable.

It was our first stay at Ravenstone Lodge and we had a relaxing enjoyable stay at this lovely little hotel in a beautiful setting … we had a cosy room with a comfortable bed and fab pillows ! Everything was spotless … it was nice to have until 10am to eat breakfast so no rush , the breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. … we enjoyed having great food at the Lodge and the evening meals we had were delicious… the staff were lovely especially Pete who looked after us from arrival till departure. We look forward to another trip to Ravenstone Lodge . Thank you Richard and Ginny Stokes

We checked in and got room 10 which was just stunning, like an apartment with wonderful views, had absolutely everything you needed at high standards. Free parking. Friendly and professional staff. Dinner was just amazing and service was good. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

A really lovely few days. From the get go the staff were very friendly and helpful, a warm welcome. The room was excellent, clean, beautiful and spacious with a stunning view. The bed was really comfortable. The food delicious. A great base to explore the area. Really enjoyed the walk from the lodge to the lake. Would highly recommend.
