Loved our 1 over night stay wish we could have stayed longer! This is a lovely old character building and has respectfully been decorated accordingly. Clean & warm with the wood burner in the bar lit added that lovely country touch with friendly helpful staff & a hot cooked breakfast in the morning what else could you ask for! Thank you : )

A really super night stop. Wished we’d time to stay longer. Beautiful room with top quality bedding & curtains. Cosy bar & lovely conservatory in which you are welcome to sit & unwind even without a drink. Lovely dining room with great wallpaper in the breakfast area. Delightful staff & very pleasant locals who were happy to interact with us tourists. Conveniently situated off the A66 & M6.

The hotel was really nice. The room was clean and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The bed was so comfortable and the room was clean. Unfortunately the breakfast was a let down. We ordered a tea and a coffee but got tea for 2. There was not much of a choice of cold stuff. I ordered scrambled eggs and it was way over done. I did enjoy the toast.

The good! Lovely pub/hotel with lots of character. Wood burner in bar very welcoming on a cold evening! Excellent quality breakfast. Interesting menu but didn’t stay for a meal. The ‘not so good’! No receptionist so reliant on bar/kitchen staff for check in/out. Bar was crowded on arrival and we were ignored until I fought through the throng to get the attention of the bar staff. The room was delightful (Room 2) except it was stone cold with no heating on….. the barman rectified the situation (at 1815) but on returning to the room the heating was off again at 2100! Heating stayed off overnight and had to ring the night manager number to ask for it to be put on in the morning. The bed was a great size but the mattress was hard and bumpy!

Brantwood Hotel is a lovely country hotel. Eleven of us visited last night for a family celebration. . The service and food was excellent,, with a very good choice. Nothing is too much troulble. It is very cosy and the staff very attentive. We will definitely come again.

What a great little hotel. Just 7 bedrooms and we felt like family. Staff were great and the food was truly SUPERB. The decor, comfort, and ambience were nice and welcoming. Well worth the money, and we are so glad we didn't choose to stay in Penrith itself. We WILL be back.

Celebrated my husbands 70 th birthday at the Brantwood with a meal for 42 friends, could not fault the food and service. Richard and his staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble, everyone was very impressed. Some guests stayed and said rooms and breakfast were first class. Thank you again.

Stayed for 1 night whilst travelling to scotland. Beautiful setting of the hotel Staff very pleasant and polite. Was shown to room 5 . Room cosy,toilet a bit of a squeeze,window opened onto a flat roof,so couldn't be left open,as any birds,insects can get into the room. Maybe mesh could be put up? Evening meal was very good. Service good presentation lovely and the food itself was excellent. Very impressed. Shower in the morning was fun as the water pressure was lost and the shower stopped whilst shampoo was still in my hair. Not a happy customer! Did inform staff at breakfast and the lad at breakfast said that they were aware of this issue happening and it was an old building hence the issue. Breakfast good
