Stayed here for 1 night. Rooms were good. Bed was comfy. Tea and coffee facilities in room. All the staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was very nice. And lots of choice from hot full English to cerial Would recommend

It's great to hear that it's back open to the public. Already booked next week. Been going for 2 years. Be good to get back to my second family. Staff are brilliant. Rooms good. Good breakie in the morning.

Showing its age in places and no guest lift despite advertising one so had to carry the buggy up stairs. Upside is the staff were helpful and supportive with this and very welcoming. Clean and tidy but could do with decor refresh and refurbishment in places

Very disappointed with the accommodation, wish we looked for review on here instead of the ***********. Very run down and stained carpet and filthy windows that should be replaced 10 years ago. I’ve attached a few pictures of our room 203 and the state of it. Scratches and dents on various parts of the wall around the room, towel hanging rail broken. Door lock completely questionable due to the dodgy repair work. We checked out after our first night, did not want to spend another night in that run-down so-called hotel. It needs a lot of TLC. You wouldn’t think that walking into the lobby , maybe they should’ve spent more money on sensible and long-overdue upkeep of the rooms instead. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The hotel is dated and needs an update. It’s cheap for that reason - covered parking right next door is the reason we stayed.

came to Barrow for personal reasons, the staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and even though our window looked out to BAE we saw the most amazing sunset. I had to stay an extra night and this wasn't a problem for them. Only problem I found was not enough milk. Very clean and beat night's sleep I had in a long time. Thank you to all the staff who made a difficult personal experience easier with their kindness and friendliness

Booked a family room for a one night stay.... Hotel itself a very nice building, very friendly staff.... The room as soon as we opened the door we were taken a back by the smell of cigarettes... (Corridors and other rooms within the hotel did not smell of this.) reported to reception staff who only apologised and assured us that she witnesses people going out for cigarettes ( not that made any difference) we decided to not take it any further and instead open all of the windows.... Freezing cold night in January would get rid of the smell you would think. However it did not. Couldn't wait to leave the next morning. Very disappointing for a family room with younger children staying. 4 drinks ordered from the bar all with flat mixers, no draft on at all .... A case of drink it or don't attitude from the night porter.
