Ainb Las Ramblas-Guardia Apartments

This place looks nicer in the pictures than it is in person. They do the absolute minimum to make it habitable. We are a family of 5 and when we arrived there was only bedding dor 4. There was a roll away bed with a sheet but no pillow or blanket. We called the front desk and theh said it was too late in the night to provide them to us. They said there may be bedding inside the couch bed, so I lifted up the couch cushion to look, and not only was it not a hide-a-bed, it was full of scurring cockroaches. My 14 year old son slept on the portable bed with a couch cushion for a pillow and a blanket I was traveling with. The beds are rock hard and they provided one thin pillow each. No decorations to cheer up the place. Cockroaches running across the kitchen counters. We checked out in the morning, even though the booking was for several days.

Property is located within easy walking distance of Las Ramblas, 2 subway stations, and several convenience stores. The apartment is small for 6 people, but otherwise nice and has character. Biggest complaint is that only 1 room has an AC unit, and it wasn't very effective. The bedrooms were unbearably hot with no relief by opening the windows.

Had a nightmare checking in, we waited 30 mins with the owner trying to check in because our check in details hadn’t been sent even though we had sent the city tax, he didn’t have a clue which apartment we were in and no one was answering who knew. Apartment was quiet, cool with aircon and the bed was comfy but it was advertised with a balcony which we didn’t have.

BED BUGS!!! Do NOT stay here! We were covered in bites within days of staying there and found a massive infestation (documented by photos). The manager refuses to return our money despite the property being uninhabitable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

HORRIBLE - DO NOT STAY HERE This was a terrible experience. Impossible to reach them before I arrived, after I arrived and now that I am asking for a refund to which they said it was fine 2 months ago when I stayed here. I booked another apt and they gave me one at this place, and it was disgusting. Horrible small and hard beds. Bathroom was so small you couldn't shower properly and the lighting was so bad and dark you felt like you were blind. On the day of my arrival around 2PM when I finally reach them they tell me my reserved apartment had some problem that something broke so it was not available but that they had another one I could use, it was in another area and they told me it was an upgrade and had 2 rooms (to which I said I didn' care since I booked 1 room, so having 2 rooms was no upgrade for me). Since I was arriving at 1AM and was traveling during the time we were communicating I was not able to book another place in such short notice (2-3PM while I was at airport/flying) so I arrive at this new place at 2AM. It was nasty, very dark, no AC!!, very ugly and looked very cheap compared to the pics of the other apt. It looked like a horrible downgrade while I was paying for a better apartment, so the next day I tell them I don' want to stay there and requested a refund for the rest of the stay since they didnt have my actual reserved apartment available. They said it was ok. It's been 2 months and I haven't heard back from them or ******* (who is allegedly trying to reach them to no avail) STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

This does not look like the photos. It was not clean at all. We found roaches everywhere. The water did not drain in the shower, we had only one towel each the entire stay. It ruined our trip to the area. I do not recommend. It was loud, partying all night. The beds are cots not beds.

Está muy bien ubicado, a sólo dos cuadras de la rambla que va a Colón y al puerto, aunque la calle donde está sí se ve algo peligrosa, pero en general Barcelona tiene áreas donde se ve medio inseguro, saliendo de la cuadra en qué se ubica todo lo demás se ve bastante tranquilo y seguro.

Muy céntrica y accesible a todo lo que te interese ver en Barcelona pues está muy bien ubicada. Solo tienen q mejorar mucho en otros aspectos.
