Villa San Michele

We had the pleasure of staying here for 4 nights last month and cannot speak highly enough of our experience! Even before we arrived we knew we were in for a treat! Stefania and Roger could not do enough to assist us in getting the most from our time in their beautiful part of the world. They recommended places to visit, eat, shop and went out of their way to make bookings on our behalf. The breakfast was next level amazing! It was so good we hardly had any room for the delights of this region for the rest of the day. This property is impressive and immaculately maintained. All the little things are thought of and there is absolutely nothing more you could want or need (except for their amazing recipes). They certainly go above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble. We loved it!

My wife and I have just spent five wonderful days at this incredible B&B. What made it particularly special were the hosts, Steffania and Roger. Their warmth, knowledge of the area and attention to the smallest detail made our stay a very memorable one. Each morning at breakfast, they helped us plan our day, not only recommending which towns to visit, but then coming back to us with maps with key highlights pencilled in. Their recommendations for local restaurants improved on the research we had done ourselves. The B&B itself is charming, the breakfasts were outstanding and every part of our stay was made special. Do not consider staying anywhere else whilst in this area. Villa San Michele is a very highly recommended experience that will certainly be a highlight of our trip to Italy.

Stefani and Roger are the most amazing hosts and their Beautiful restored Villa is a credit to them. The room we had downstairs opened to it’s own patio and the room was so comfortable and nice. Each morning a delicious breakfast was served to us on our patio and Stef and Roger would supply us with maps and things to see in the area. Every night we would go to the restaurants close by they recommended (an booked for us) and we loved every suggestion . The property was so peaceful and relaxing to come back to after busy day sightseeing , nothing better than laying by pool and having a wine . Highly recommend this property

Our stay at Villa San Michele was one of our best and most memorable experiences of any place we’ve stayed. It well exceeded our expectations and we would give it 6 stars if we could! A big thank you to Stefania and Roger, we loved our stay! I don’t usually do reviews unless the place is really good (or bad) but couldn’t resist because if you are planning a trip to Tuscany experiencing a stay here will make your holiday. The reason I say ‘experience’ is because it’s so much more than just the room. BREAKFAST - I’m starting with breakfast as it had to be one of the best of anywhere (including fancy hotels). Starting with a savoury plate of meats, cheeses, salad and home made bread. Then onto a special cake or sweet treat made by Stef (we loved the carrot cake with chocolate) and home made biscuits, jam and bread. The cooking was amazing and the menu changed every day so breakfast was something we really looked forward to. There was also coffee and fresh juice. It was served on the terraces in their beautiful garden. We wished we were staying more days to enjoy more of them! ROOM & VILLA - the villa is recently renovated to a high level and everything is immaculately clean and styled. It has a warm, welcoming feel. We stayed in Room IV which we loved as it has a fantastic view out to San Gimignano and the Tuscan hills which we enjoyed waking up to every morning. On two mornings, there was even a hot air balloon. The rooms are private and everyone has their own space. POOL - we loved the pool! Tuscany was our down time after visiting Venice, Florence and Cinque Terre so afternoons by the pool in the warm sun were perfect. There are a number of sun lounges and again surrounded by beautiful gardens. They have a selection of wines to buy which they serve by the pool (thanks Roger!) LOCATION - the Villa is in a small authentic Tuscan village. We really wanted a more local experience away from tourists and this was perfect. The location is great for small day trips and there is plenty to see and do within 15 to 30 mins if you don’t want to venture too far. There is a local trattoria in the village which is great for dinner if you don’t want to drive as you can enjoy a bottle of wine, a great meal with local people and just walk home. SPECIAL TOUCHES Stefania and Roger go out of their way to give you a special stay. From the amazing and generous breakfast, to the wines by the pool, coffee and tea bar, music in the foyer, they really do have it well planned. Another big stand out (and really unexpected) was Roger helping to plan things to do each day by suggesting the best routes and what to see (and not see). They also suggested restaurants and made reservations which was a real help and meant we could spend more time relaxing! Stefania and Roger, thank you so much for all the effort you went to making our stay great! You’ve created a really special place and we will be recommending it to everyone so we hope you see some more Aussies in the future

This 5 room luxury bed and breakfast in the heart of Tuscany is just wonderful! Close to lots of pretty villages and great wine tasting. You are so well looked after here. Attention to detail in each room, superb homemade bread and cakes for breakfast and help to plan your days with useful local knowledge and handy tips. We love Tuscany and return frequently, but we will certainly make this our base next time. It is just all you could hope for…and then a little bit more!

We had a great stay at Villa San Michelle! Stefania and Roger are wonderful hosts and make you feel very welcome! The room is modern, big and super clean. The breakfast is really fantastic. Fresh bread, fresh sweets and local products every day. Finally good to mention that the hosts give you the best tips about restaurants and beautiful things in the area.

Villa San Michele is the perfect place to stay, if you are looking for a relaxing and worry-free vacation. The entire property is wonderfully renovated, with a deep love for every little detail. The hosts, Stefania and Roger, managed to turn this place into a little paradise. They read our mind and take every effort to make our stay perfect. The breakfast served reached from their homemade bread and pastries, to savories from local farms. They alway had good recommendations for our traveling around the area, and the places to get excellent food. The rooms are top modern and spotless, We did not miss anything ! Stefania, Roger and Sabrina made our vacation a very special one.
