"I stayed at the Crowne in September 2025 and, honestly, it was a deeply disappointing experience. At check-in, the treatment I received from the front desk staff was appalling—plainly rude, condescending, and with the clear attitude that they were doing me a favor just by checking me in. Such arrogance and lack of basic courtesy are simply unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one that claims to be five stars.
The contrast could not have been greater at check-out, where we were finally treated with genuine kindness by a member of staff, her name
Was Ever Jade. But this only highlighted the unprofessional and ill-mannered behavior of the man who greeted us upon arrival. First impressions matter, and in this case they set the worst possible tone.
The hotel itself might look fine at first glance, but the cleanliness is far below what one would expect from a property of this supposed category. And the most outrageous detail came at breakfast: after paying $700 for a room with breakfast included, I was told I was only entitled to one single coffee. This is beyond ridiculous—not even the lowest-rated bed and breakfasts would dare impose such an absurd restriction.
A five-star hotel cannot afford these kinds of lapses. The management urgently needs to provide proper training to its staff—not only in professional procedures, but also in basic respect and hospitality. Equally, charging premium prices while denying guests something as simple as a second cup of coffee is both insulting and degrading. Guests who spend a fortune on a stay deserve a five-star experience, not a lesson in rudeness and penny-pinching."

"Great location and good value. A little more attention to detail by the cleaning crew would make this a great place to stay while visiting Sydney. Close to the metro, trains and bus. Easy to get to from the airport and the staff was great. The hotel has a cafe/bar down in the lobby with a nice selection of food, coffee and cocktails. Over all I would recommend and stay again on our next visit."

"Grandi viste e amichevole Visualizza ẻvice
Stavo qui per qualche notte e divertito! L'appartamento era enorme con un grande balcone con splendide viste sulla città. La cucina e lavanderia erano super convenienti, facendo sentire come una casa lontana da casa. Il personale era caldo e accogliente, sempre pronto a assistere. L'unica piccola questione era un po' di rumore dalla strada alla notte, ma non era un commerciante. In generale, un soggiorno meraviglioso, e lo consiglierei assolutamente a chiunque visitasse Sydney!"

"The location is in the city center,
there are 2 Japanese restaurants that operate until 10 PM on the left side of the hotel main door ,
and there is a convenience store on the right side of the door that operates until 2 AM, which feels like a 24-hour store.
There is a Starbucks across from the convenience store on the right. Very convenient.
The hotel's cocktails are also very good to drink, being lazy to go out, order a drink downstairs and read a book is very good.
The hotel breakfast is a very traditional Australian breakfast, bacon, hash browns, eggs, milk, fruit. It has everything you need, and it's amazing that there are special dishes from the chef every day. The first day was fried rice, and the second morning was bread with a soft-boiled egg and cheese sauce on top, which was delicious
A 5-minute walk away to Barangaroo Where I see is that there are many restaurants with different flavors, this time I tried Thai food, it is really authentic, business dinner here is a good choice. This is also a ferry station, but I don't know where it goes."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my visit to Sydney. The room was very clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable and pleasant experience. The location is excellent, just outside Wynyard Station, which made getting around the city super convenient. It’s also within 10–20 minutes walking distance to many popular areas like the Sydney shopping district, Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, The Rocks, and more.
What really stood out to me was the modern high-tech features throughout the hotel. The lift system is not the usual kind, you scan your access card outside, and it automatically assigns you a lift to your room’s floor or the amenities level. There are no buttons inside the lift, which felt very secure and futuristic.
Inside the room, both the bedroom and bathroom have built-in speakers, so I could enjoy my favourite songs throughout the space, such a great touch! They even provide an iPad in the room that lets you contact reception, access useful hotel info, and even browse suggested playlists if you don’t have one of your own. I really appreciated the attention to detail.
Another highlight was the variety of pillows available. I chose the contour pillow and slept incredibly well.
One thing to note: toothbrushes are not provided for free, there’s an extra charge if you need one. But it’s not a big deal for me since I always bring my own. Just a heads-up if you’re planning to stay here , remember to pack your toothbrush!
The only small downside was the bathroom design, although there’s a glass door, some water did spill out after showering. But this was minor and didn’t affect my overall impression.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, modern, and tech-savvy place to stay in Sydney!"
