OYO Baytree Lodge

We were desperate for accommodation for five of us, including a toddler, at the last minute on the Easter bank holiday weekend, as our intended holiday house had been double-booked by the host. Suki was really lovely and helpful and found us two rooms for the three nights, with breakfast each morning too. The beds were comfy and the cooked breakfasts were tailored to our differing needs (one gluten-free, one veggie, one fussy toddler). Free off-street parking in front of the B&B was useful with a car full of family bits and bobs and a toddler to manoeuvre in and out. Suki explained they were in the process of renovation and we look forward to going back again once the upgrade works have been done.

Very disappointed with this guest house, it is in a look of disrepair my son and I stayed there over night and there was no free breakfast. We asked for breakfast but we're told we had to pay cash for this as I did not have enough cash on me the lady told me to walk to the nearest cash point in the middle of town. Did not want to use the bath as it had black mood all round it . Needless to say we will not stay there again .

Me & my friend took a day trip to north wales without any bookings . At the end of day we decided to stay so we pulled our car B&B Baytree lodge. Dee was so helpful & show us our rooms . Lovly room bed was so comfortable, nice bathroom. We had a pleasant stay . Brilliant service. We will definitely stay with them again. Brilliant service & reasonable price. Near the town with nice Restaurants

Firstly we were greeted welcomingly . We booked 8 single rooms as a base for Velosity 2 , to get a phone call 1 week before to ask if we could share 4 rooms - we did and were charged £ 100 per room plus a " half " price breakfast £ 5 for a room that was very dated and not worth the money . We were charged nearly double to what the single rooms were

Stayed here for 3 nights during one of the hottest weeks of the year. We were given a large room at the front of the hotel and although dated it was exceptionally clean and the bed very comfortable. As it was so hot we slept with the windows open and even though it is on a busy road the noise was minimal. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. Great location, walking distance to all shops and bars and a good base for visiting Anglesey and Llandudno. Added bonus of secure off road parking.

Stayed here to do some hill walking in the area. At the pricebeing charged, expected at least a decent room, but this is more like a budget hostel or a cheap motel than a genuine bnb. The rooms were in desperate need of updating, the bathroom was smelly and musty, the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and there were broken lights, sockets that didn't work and other maintenance issues all over the place. The view from the window was of a brick wall a foot or so away. The place looks like back in the 70s it could have been quite nice, but nothing has been updated or maintained since. Overall you get a kind of cheap motel vibe from ghe place. Talking to locals in the area, we found out that the place used to be mostly used by workers needing to overnight on the cheap, but an attempt to get tourists is being made as they pay more. During the night, there were loud sounds of fights coming from somewhere in the property, with a lot of shouting and swearing happening. Gave a generally unsafe feeling. The owner tries to be very friendly but comes across a bit fake and is very difficult if you want to change or cancel your booking. This place would be a fare price at say 40 or even 50 a bight, but at over 100 for a room, this is grossly over priced and a bit of a dump.
