Hotel a Bangkok,

It was cheap so we didn't expect it, the room was ok for the price. We were given a room in a cheaper category without them informing us. When I discovered it and we spoke to the reception, we were told they had overbooked and we could get our money back. What it was about was that they hadn't said it in the first place, hence the one star. After a bit of talking back and forth, we got a room in the category we had booked, if they had been honest from the start it would have certainly triggered a few more stars.

I stayed in the Montien Riverside for four nights in February 2023, over the Valentine’s day period, staying in a Deluxe Corner Riverside room. Even though the Montien is an older hotel it still retains that “wow” factor, as it has been well maintained. The staff here are amongst the best of any hotel in Bangkok, very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. My room was up on one of the higher floors with huge windows on each corner overlooking the Chao Phraya river, magnificent views, especially at night. Whilst there were signs of aging, particularly in the bathroom, the room generally had been maintained to a high level. The room was spacious, airy and had a touch of opulence. The bed was super comfortable and the rain shower had good pressure with very hot water. A nice touch was the free mini bar (soft drinks and snacks only). The grounds at the back of the Montien are quite beautiful, large lawned area next to the river and plenty of seating available to enjoy a cool drink or a meal. There is a van serving food in the evening and quite often piped or live music. A great place to chill out away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The hotel provides a shuttle service (one way) that runs parallel to the river and stops at all the key tourist spots such as Iconsiam. I had a wonderful stay at the Montien and would be happy to return. I would however like to mention a few areas that need improvement. The WIFI first. In my near twenty years coming to Thailand and staying in numerous types of accommodation from guesthouses to high end resorts the Montein has the worst WIFI I have ever encountered. So many times I had to switch to mobile network because of the poor or inconsistent signal. This obviously cost me money. For those whose livelihood are dependant on a reliable WIFI network then this place would not be for you. My second biggest gripe is that there are no power points by the bed, unbelievable and quite frustrating. I would have loved to have given the Montien five stars but because of the poor WIFI and lack of powerpoints I have deducted a point. Lastly, as a suggestion to management, why do you mot engage the service of a shuttle boat? You have a little dock in the river at the rear of the hotel and it would be a wonderful benefit to your paying guests. Apart form the negatives I mentioned above I can highly recommend the Montein Riverside for a relaxing stay with a touch of luxury.

L'hotel più soddisfacente in cui ho soggiornato durante questo viaggio in Tailandia. La camera era molto spaziosa e la posizione era proprio accanto al fiume Chao Phraya. Ho prenotato una camera con vista sul fiume con due colazioni. Al momento del check-in, la camera puzzava di vernice, potrebbe essere dovuto alla manutenzione. Il concierge che ha consegnato i bagagli ha immediatamente informato la reception che avevano cambiato camera con una posizione migliore e una vista completa sul fiume. La colazione dell'hotel è ricca e varia e cenare con vista sul fiume è piacevole per il corpo e la mente. L'hotel è situato in una zona dove sono concentrati gli hotel di lusso a Bangkok, adiacente al Four Seasons e al Capella. Ogni giorno sono disponibili numerosi bus navetta gratuiti per la stazione SkyTrain Zhenghuangqiao più vicina, risparmiando agli ospiti il ​​duro lavoro del sole cocente. Il nostro recente soggiorno al Ramada Hotel è stato davvero delizioso. Il personale della reception non solo ha mostrato cordialità ma ha anche fornito un servizio eccezionale. Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dal passaggio da una camera Grand Deluxe Twin a una Plaza Twin Suite con vista sulla città. La spaziosa suite comprendeva una zona soggiorno separata e due TV per un maggiore comfort. L'hotel presenta un ambiente tranquillo e offre tè, caffè e acqua in bottiglia gratuiti. I prodotti da bagno, asciugamani bianchi freschi, tra cui una sontuosa doccia e una vasca da bagno con scrub per il corpo, hanno davvero migliorato la nostra esperienza. All'arrivo, gli ospiti vengono accolti in una camera gratuita piena di pasticcini, popcorn e una varietà di bevande calde e fredde. Il personale premuroso in varie aree come il bar, il ristorante e l'Executive Lounge ha contribuito in modo significativo al nostro piacevole soggiorno. Da non perdere le diverse opzioni per la colazione presso il ristorante The Wave, che soddisfa sia i gusti locali che quelli internazionali. Anche se ci rammarichiamo di non aver provato l'esperienza culinaria tutto il giorno presso l'Executive Lounge al 15° piano, che offre colazione, tè pomeridiano, cocktail e un buffet tailandese per un costo aggiuntivo di 1500 baht, abbiamo apprezzato molto la selezione del pranzo che includeva pollo tikka masala, club sandwich, costolette di maiale, hamburger di manzo wagyu e frullato di mango, tutti deliziosi. L'incantevole terrazza dell'hotel, la sala da pranzo sul lungofiume, gli spettacoli di band dal vivo nella hall e la comoda posizione lo rendono la scelta ideale per l'esplorazione. Le eccezionali strutture della piscina, con una vista panoramica sul fiume dove è possibile osservare il passaggio dei battelli fluviali e catturare splendidi momenti di alba e tramonto, erano davvero eccezionali. Senza dubbio, questo hotel rimarrà la nostra prima scelta per le future visite nella zona.

The place us a 5 minute walk to the Asiatique Riverpoint where all river cruise starts, very convenient to go to places as it is also near to boat ride to Iconsiam and other places. The owner does not speak English but she was very friendly and accommodating despite language barrier everything went smooth. Facilities are not modern but very comfortable to use. It was a perfect place for me.

Booked a Superior Riverside room, which is more 'viewing the River from across the Asiatique car park”, as opposed to actually being Riverside, but we knew this before booking. Room consisted of a small kitchenette, consisting of a fridge, microwave & basic cutlery. A very large comfortable bed & a Large bathroom, with an excellent shower. Room looked a bit tired in some places, but in general was ok & was cleaned daily. Reception staff & concierge / car park security were excellent, very helpful & always polite. Your room key card gives access to the lifts, so only guests are able to operate them, which is a good security feature. Location is almost directly opposite, Asiatique the Riverfront. Which has plenty of places to eat, although it was fairly quiet when we visited, as it had only just re-opened the day before, after being closed due to covid. Also 250M walk away, is the Wat Ratchasingkhon Pier, for catching the Chao Phraya Express boats.

This trip is for my proposal to my girlfriend. The hotel is very helpful to arrange everything and gives lots of nice suggestion and ideas. Le strutture dell'hotel sono complete e confortevoli, igieniche e ordinate, l'ambiente è elegante e piacevole e il servizio è premuroso e premuroso. Soggiornerò nuovamente in questo hotel la prossima volta che verrò a Pattaya e consiglierò questo hotel ai miei parenti e amici!
