The Lawrence

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lawrence, great accomodation, great location and great hosts but BE AWARE we had to pay an EXTRA £30 cleaning fee before we were given the key to our room even though our confirmation thru Qantas Hotels said we had paid in full! First time I have ever been charged for a cleaning fee!

Excellent boutique hotel, with period furnishings, very well located for walking to the centre of Derry, while being quiet and easy to park. Rooms were clean, and breakfast very good. It was great to have a cosy bar area for that nightcap and chat to other guests. The staff were very helpful with suggestions for nearby bars and restaurants. We knew that our room would be very small, with limited space, but were only staying one night so that wasn't too important.

The Lawrence is outstanding. My wife and I have traveled around much of Ireland, but had never been to Derry. We heard it was a beautiful town that was rich in history. We were looking for a boutique hotel in a central location. The Lawrence was perfect in every way. The location was close to the city center, yet a few blocks away on a quiet street. The rooms were beautifully furnished, inviting and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and offered a good selection of items in two courses. The staff always went out of their way to help and ensure that our experiences were great ones.

We stayed here for three great nights. The beds and rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is very good and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is good to walk into town and explore the wonderful coast line if you are driving.

This is an outstanding, fantastic place to stay when you’re visiting Derry. Don’t miss this exceptional location. The rooms, the friendly staff, the food, the whole ambiance was amazing. Close to the city but peaceful and relaxing at the same time. Will be back soon 🤗

Nous étions dans l'appartement Poets Corner. C'était un séjour incroyable. L'accueil, l'appartement, la décoration, l'emplacement, tout était parfait. Nous serions bien restées plus longtemps. Le petit déjeuner servi à table est exceptionnel, la commande est faite la veille, ce qui permet de ne pas perdre de temps. Les produits sont excellents et tous les plats que nous avons goûtés aussi. Très copieux. Nous avons reçu de très bons conseils et tout le monde est amical, chaleureux et disponible. Derry est un vrai régal et c'est l'endroit parfait pour en profiter. Hâte d'y retourner.
