Hotel de France

We booked two single rooms for one night in advance walking the Stevenson Trail, and we made a partial payment by bank assignment. The price for each room was 85 € incl. half pension. When we arrived he told us that we only had booked one room with two beds. Probably he was overbooked and had lost control. As we could proof our bookings, he "found a solution" and put me in a special room for wheelchair-users (which in general was not a problem at all) at ground floor, less than one meter away from the street. Two tiny windows, peoply walking by could look into my room. The bigger problem of this room was the extremly strong, penetrative chemical smell of the fabric-new sofa and armchairs, made from/ covered with a leather substitute. I had to keep the street level windows open during the whole night, I couldn't sleep at all. Next morning we payed. The owner asked 110 € each room instead of 85 €, and he had "forgotten" the assignment. On top he added 4 beers to the bill, we never had them. And 1/2 a liter of red table wine we had with dinner cost 16 € (in the next hotel the day after we only payed 6 €). After having discussed the "wrong calculation", he changed the bill 4 times, in the end we payed 14 € more than necessary. (And we did not discuss, not even mention the extremely expensive table-wine). We were happy that we could leave the place.

Étape lors de notre randonnée sur le chemin de Stevenson... Expérience plus que moyenne, bien que le propriétaire propose de déposer les randonneurs au départ de l'étape initiale le lendemain matin (Cheylard l'Evéque), cela ne vaut pas le prix exorbitant des prestations très médiocres. A l'arrivée, nous ne nous sentons pas les bienvenues, pas un bonjour du patron (personnel gentil, néanmoins). Repas digne d'une cantine (et encore !), où tout est en supplément (vin, café...), petit déjeuner classique. Arrivée au moment de payer, le patron daigne enfin m'adresser la parole! Note salé, qui ne vaut pas les "prestations", nous nous sentons abusés !

Accueil ,personnel très souriant ,très propre ,une excellente cuisine avec des produits frais.Plats copieux,chambre spacieuse ,calme .Très bon petit déjeuner avec sa salade de fruits 👍.Tres belle établissement familiale .Merci à Yves et sa famille pour ce séjour.

Fuyez pauvre fou! Prix exorbitant pour une nuit dans un hôtel vieillot mais surtout grosse arnaque sur un repas horrible ou tout était de piètre qualité. Une honte. Nous avons eu l'impression de nous être fait avoir, les prestations sont moins bonne que dans la plupart des gîtes ou nous sommes allés pour un prix exorbitant. La navette le matin pour ramener les randonneurs sur le gr est appréciable.

Die Übernachtung im Hotel war ok, allerdings gab es kalte Küche, da der Koch krank war. Die kalte Küche waren dann kalte Nudeln mit Dosenthunfisch (bei vorbestellten vegetarischen Essen!) und Mayo-Matschsalat - Essen wie Gott in Frankreich…. Und ein Teil der Gäste sollte aus unerfindlichen Gründen auf den Zimmern essen, auf die Nachfrage warum, hat der Chef die Fragende angeblafft, er wäre der Chef und hätte zu bestimmen - freundlich geht anders. Am Ende dann auch noch recht teuer für die ganze Misere - nie wieder.

Randonneurs, nous avons passé une nuit, très chère 175 € pour 2 soirées étape !! Mais le prix n'est pas justifié, la chambre est vieillotte, au restaurant, on vous dit où vous devez vous asseoir, le repas est correct, le pique nique à 9€ est un scandale, ridicule et même pas bon,en résumé, une grosse arnaque par rapport aux autres gîtes où nous sommes allés
